CCNP hunt without real world experience.? I got a CCNA certification about 4 ½ years ago and since it was quite a rough time back then to get an IT job without years of experience, I even heard back in 02 and 03 people with years of experience were forced to work at IT help desk, anyways long story short I thought if these geniuses weren’t getting a job of their choice so I with no experience and just an associates degree and a certification stand no chance. So I dropped the idea and took any job to pay bills, now after so long I realize I am not going to give up so I convinced myself to give another chance. This time in pursuit of renewing my CCNA certification I enrolled in CCNP classes because clearing any one of the four exams will certify your CCNA and it sounded too good to pass It was like killing two birds with one stone and without realizing how tough it’s going to be for someone who has no real world experience configuring router on daily basis so I signed up for the class and now after a month or so through the session I realize its an overkill. Even after burning midnight oil I manage to memorize commands the concept will still be unclear since our instructor assumes that we have an adequate experience in the filed and he doesn’t see a need to explain complicated terms in more detail. So question before you guys is this that should I put my learning abilities to test by letting this curriculum torture me for another month or so, in order to grasp the material, I know I can do it but it’ll be good for nothing or go the other route which is to recertify CCNA by retaking the 640-801 exam and get a job and maybe a year or two later look into getting CCNP?. Real World MPG on a 91 Camaro RS 5.0 V8? Im looking to buy a Camaro but im afraid I'll spend way too much on gas. I've been researching this for days and all I can come up with is 15 mpg estimated. But now I come across this 'Real World MPG' and finding out it may come out to even less. I plan on using it as a daily driver, but not if I end up using a half tank of gas to get to school and back. I do end up driving on the highway alot due to the fact that the community college is right off the high way and so is my job, but if anyone has a camaro or knows someone with one with the 5.0 V8 and knows about about this "real world mpg" i'd like some adive ASAP before someone else gets there hands on this car. Why does the world described in the Bible seem so different from the world we live in? No sound when playing videos, but other audio is fine? I think it is just youtube videos (but it may have been other embedded videos, e.g. on the Real World Dailies site), but for the last 2 days, off and on, I have had no audio even though the videos play fine. I am using XP and Firefox. Any idea on what is causing this? My computer still makes its normal noises, e.g. when you click on stuff, but the video audio selectively plays. Real world problem? Ok, I've inherited a quality control responsibility, and the former QC person is long gone, so I don't have any resource on how to determine the numbers. We manufacture widgets. In the course of a day, we make 10,000 widgets. Of the daily production, we pull 1,000 and inspect them. Of the 1,000 pulled, 351 are determined to have flaws. Of the 351 flawed widgets, it's determined that 75 of them are flawed enough to be unsalable. We use a quality ratio....1 flaw in XX widgets. I've been determining the quality ratio like this: 1000 widgets that were inspected, there were 352 flaws. Of the 352 flaws, 75 were critical (unsalable). The quality ratio is 13.3 to 1. (1000/75) Is this correct, or am I just basically pulling numbers outta my butt? The company standard is 1 flaw in 85 widgets, and it affects people's bonuses...so I'm REALLY interested in getting the quality ratio correct. Correction: Company standard is 1 CRITICAL flaw in 85 widgets. Heather: Managers here can't deal with numbers involving decimal points.....that's why we use the "1 error in <number> widgets" instead of a percentage. :)

I'm pretty sure this world is real, but I would like to know if someone can ever tell me why, WHY our own reality is so fake? Please, can you explain to me the discrepancy between what words like democracy, freedom and justice mean as definitions in a dictionary, and the way we apply them in REALITY? How To Get Relative To Join The Real World and Do Something? I have a 38 year old brother who currently has no job, no means to pay his bills, no drivers license, probably over 30,000 in child support owes to state of New York and smokes marijuana on a daily basis. He hasn't worked in a long while and when he did work it was for a relative and he even had to let him go b/c he did not work just sat around. His job history before this is scattered and didn't work for a long time even years. He really has no ambition at all unless it comes to smoking weed or watching a football game. My question is how can you get a person like this to see the light and finally do something with his life (if its possible at his age). He's even gone as far as telling my parents and relatives he has no money, no laundry, no food and has been making them buy food last few weeks because he's apparently broke. Then recently he was found to have been buying marijuana still so he is lying about not having a few bucks too even though I'm sure his bank account is close to rock bottom. Seems like a sociopath to me with the way he acts, doesn't ever work, has terrible credit makes other people sign lease's so if he doesn't pay it affects their credit and doesn't really care if it does. This isn't a new thing however, this has been going in a cycle since he was 18 years old never works, is terribly lazy, pays not attention to his son or child support and constantly is getting bailed out by my parents when the time comes. Anyone have any idea's - Rehab? Intervention? Counseling? I'm at a loss for words it's just an exhausting game he plays. Also has an apartment with my father's name on lease and he has someone else pay 500 a month who lives with him while cost is 800 and now he can't pay and my dad's name on the lease! I graduated in 2008 and I must admit my social life was next to non-existent outside of school. Close family member desperately needs mental treatment: childhood seizures (not epilepsy) and behavioral probs. continued into adult issues including depression, paranoia, anxiety, anger, and reclusiveness, abandonment issues (adopted), real-world effects in daily life including homelessness, detachment from family and friends, unhealthy eating/sleeping habits, and occasional alcohol abuse. Refuses suggestions to go to dr. or hospital, last dr. who saw him was at least 3 yrs. ago. Years of this cycle have led us/some drs. to speculate bipolar disorder or even (mild) schizophrenia, but he hasn't opened up to a dr. or stuck w/ it long enough for good diagnosis; fears medication. NOW, he has gone through a breakup and is in VERY bad shape - all symptoms have returned, & acting distracted, seemingly unaware of the presence of others or not recognizing others (seems like act for attention but also serious), detachment, no eating, shaking, claiming "I'm fine" but OBVIOUSLY not. Now what? He is now 29 y.o. Seizures started in pre-teens, behavioral probs very early (temper tantrums especially) last seizure around 16 I think. Adoption means no med. history, but he also feels that birthmom "made him this way" and has threatened to "f'n kill her" if he ever found her. Still considering forced intervention but fearful of his retaliation, esp. since he's paranoid that we're not out to HELP him, just out to put him away or something negative like that. Also: would it be helpful or harmful to let him read this, in your opinion?

Established unquestioned concepts are the real reason for disappointment and stress? In our society every body is carrying a lot of common concepts with them, these are forming ones word view and ones self image. From there are coming our wishes and goals. From there we built up our security and our self esteem. From there we are motivated and that give us our feeling of existence. This is our *Personality*, that we feel we are. We strive to make this personality bigger, stronger, richer and blow it up as much we can... We are identified with our properties that we have gained and collected: Knowledge, experiences, memories, things, money, family, partners, children, friends, enemies, followers, fans and every thing else that might reflect us. We are constantly looking for confirmation for our properties so that our feeling of existence stay alive. We are reacting all the time and to what ever shows up and so we can agree or disagree, feeling good or being angry and as we are also identified with our reactions, this might be feelings or thoughts, so we are confirmed in our personality. But is this *Personality* something real? Or is it just an illusion we have created ourselves, with the help of this society in that we have grown into and that keeps us busy? Are we living in a fake reality? Are the concepts we are holding the reason why we are not able to relate directly to what is there only through the filter of our concepts that dominate our view? And because our concepts are coming often from people who created them for their own purpose to gain power to strengthen their position, so these are also part of our fake reality? We are not questioning our self because that brings us into an insecure position? Do we all defend that what we believe we are: A self constructed and contained illusion? Is this the real reason why we have so much stress going through life? Because reality doesn't fit always to our concepts how things should be? And then we are disappointed and frustrated, right? Then we are getting out of balance with our self feeling and we are taking or doing things to find back our balance, often damaging our health with these substitutes... We ae not capable to relate objective to what shows up in daily life, we are expecting a certain way that things are and that people behave. Does it work? We are doing our best to change things and people and we are very good to manipulate conditions and people. Does it work? Sometimes yes and sometimes no, mostly not and that causes disappointment and stress, right? So what can we do about it? Can we change the world? Obviously not. What about changing ourselves? That seems to be the solution. About this during the last twenty years there have been developed some new concepts published by best seller writers. What should I do with my knowledge? I have an Associates Degree in Business Management and I will finish my Bachelors in Business this coming May. I have had limited "real world" experience. I have been an assistant manager at a Pizza place, a Inventory Control Manager/Daily Supervisor/Merchandiser at a Chain Fabric Store (JoAnns), and Accounts Recieveable accountant, and currently I am a Freelance Childrens Clothing Designer (I do this out of my home). My skills include PC and Mac computers, Sewing, Pattern Drafting,Fabric knowledge, 10 Key, Opening/Closing of a retail business, ordering, inventory, supervising, scheduling, merchanding, directing, Daily/Weekly/Monthly accounting books...the list goes on. I guess my question comes down to, what should I do with my life......what does my education and skills together lead you to believe I should be?

Is this world really as sick and screwed up as they say? If so, how do we not let it get to us? Everyone always told me, that the 'real world' was screwed up , the global world, and that it's cold and uncaring and that we better be careful out there, etc. In my personal life experience, I found that the world itself isn't as bad as they say, it's only some people that make it bad. Some people are ferrociously screwed up, some have criminal minds, then you have people caught up in "the game," but then you also have normal and sane people too. So if this world in the big picture really IS as screwed up as they say, and I do believe that it is very strange and I guess you can say screwed up, it's really only the PEOPLE that make it so. Listen to what angry, unintelligent trash has to say, and you'll think that it's all screwed up, listen to a well respected author talk, and you'll think differently. But if all in all, it's screwed up, how do we not let it affect us, since we are living here and see things daily?

What is the obsession on this board of asking questions about who would win in a real fight? On a daily basis I see questions about who is the best fighters amongst film stars, what styles would beat each other in street fights etc etc etc. There is a lot more to studying Martial a Arts than worrying about fighting the guy in the TKD class next door or the Aikido class upstairs. Martial Arts are as much about Character building than anything and not about being out in the street picking fights with each other. From 7 Sep to 20 October 2007, you should read the sports section of the newspaper so that you are aware of what is going on regarding the World Cup, and that way you will be able to join in the conversations. If you fail to do this, then you will be looked at in a bad way, or you will be totally ignored. DO NOT complain about not receiving any attention. 2. During the World Cup, the television is mine, the VCR and DVD are all mine, at all times, without any exceptions. If you even take a glimpse of the remote control, you will lose it (your eye). 3. If you have to pass by in front of the TV during a game, I don't mind, as long as you do it crawling on the floor and without distracting me. If you decide to stand nude in front of the TV, make sure you put clothes on right after because if you catch a cold, I won't have time to take you to the doctor or look after you during the World Cup month. 4. During the games I will be blind, deaf and mute, unless I require a refill of my drink or something to eat. You are out of your mind if you expect me to listen to you, open the door, answer the telephone, or pick up the baby that just fell from the second floor....it won't happen. 5. It would be a good idea for you to keep at least 2 six packs in the fridge at all times, as well as plenty of things to nibble on, and please do not make any funny faces to my friends when they come over to watch the games. Have you done a good deed today? Friends, we should try to live our lives objectively. I suggest that everyone here try to do at least 1 good deed, in your daily lives, in the real world. For real, what makes people so angry? So nasty? Such haters? i mean, i have had a bad day but what makes people not want to be nice, pleasant and harmonious on a normal basis? i remember when i was younger, i was mean but it's because you're so repressed as a teenager but with all the problems in the world and daily events of sadness, why not try to achieve a higher plane of peace. if i can choose to be nice, courteous and respectful and carry that out, it only shows how possible it is for anyone else. im not above anybody else. so why do so many people choose to be mean, spiteful, and so dissatisfied with themselves. we all have bad times, why let that reflect in your interactions?

All day i have a numb, pressure & tingly feeling around the front & back of my head. Its constant. Any clues? I also dream of having seizures, which is on a regular basis (almost daily). In my dreams its when I go to play a certain set of video games. In the real world, my body twitches and shakes, but its not seizuring. It happens consistantly with everytime I dream of trying to play those video games. Should I be worried?

Another dream, another world, or another demension? My dream was so peaceful and it felt so real. There was no grief. Everything in there was almost like what I do everyday. I go to school, come home, do homework, and then go to sleep. Same thing the next day but different events happen. It was so much nicer than my real daily life.
