Are there any shows on MTV that are actually REAL?? Please name me some shows on MTV that is NOT scripted. You can totally tell the Hills and a shot at love 2 with Tila Tequila is made up. Also, i'm starting to realize the real world even though real shows only a limited amount of scenes. The real world daily clips shows a different light on the cast that the show never protrays. What kind of Americans have casual sex?? I know many teens and young adults have casual sex. But why, and who? I don't and i wuld never. I wait for the right person. Do you regret something from your college years? I'm 27 now, and when I look back at my college years I regret one thing: Watching MTV. I hate hip-hop, always have, so I never watched any music videos on MTV, but I watched all the reality shows. I regret being such a fan of shows such as "The Real World" which was nothing like the real world. I regret watching shows such as Cribs which only make people feel bad they don't have the stuff really rich do. MTV shows a gives young adults a really negative view of the world. Nothing I ever saw on MTV is something positive I want to put to use in my daily life today. I don't regret documentaries from The Discovery Channel and The History Channel. I actually learned many things I still like to remember having watched them. FORTUNATELY, as much MTV as I watched on my college years. I'm happy I never let myself be brainwashed enough for me to get a tattoo, or to take drugs, or to drink, or to do anything the MTV make you think is what you should be doing. I feel like no one understands me? I'm sure there have already been a million of these venting-type questions, and for that I apologize that I will have to be the next. But I just can't take it- I don't think anyone understands me. I have friends, but none of them know anything about the real me and how I have anorexic tendencies. The only thing they prioritize is MTV and dumb, girly-girl material things. I want a real friend who I can have heart-to-heart talks about my viewpoint of the world and everything that I go through on a daily basis. I want a real friend who can share my sense of humor and even if we're different, they'd respect that instead of trying to make me conform to their styles like some of my current friends try to do. And then there's all the other superficial girls in my age group and their "too-cool" boyfriends (sorry, I guess I'm stereotyping) who think I'm the strangest thing they've ever seen and choose to poke fun at that. I think the major problem is that I am too mature for my actual age- my sisters and brothers have told me time to time that I am extremely mature for a 13-going-on-14 year old. No one else in my grade understands the beauty and insight I have on life. What they care about is being a teenager and making the most of everything. I do like being mature and having good insight but I so envy their easy-going lifestyles. I feel like my actual age should be around 25. Oh goodness, I don't even know if this is a question anymore. Is it a surprise that we are all nearly worshipping the lackadaisical figures that are part of our daily lives? Boredom; an obstacle everyone has been faced with, many, on a daily basis. The disorder can not be cured, but can be treated. One of the most commonly practiced treatments is the mindless self-indulgent tool of thought killing, the television. Millions, upon millions tune in every night to escape their daily lives, the exact reason people smoke meth. So as the population stares blankly in to the television screen, and as a coma like trance slowly takes them away from it all, they die, just a little bit more. Nearly every single one of us is part of the television generation, we grew up on cartoons, and other programs that kept us from being complaint ridden with boredom. Through are adolescence, we grew up with our eyes glued to the screen. Some of us still are watching our favorite programs, instead of socializing, reading, or participating in life. According to an Associated Press sponsored poll taken in 2007, one in four Americans read not a single book the previous year, and seventy-five percent of those who did, read no more than four. The American people are becoming more and more oblivious and idiotic as time passes. Our countries school system is failing - literally - this is supposed to be the greatest country in the world, so why are our students shown by a statistical average to be around a C average? Some may say the reason other countries, such as: Finland, South Korea, Japan, and Canada’s test scores and average IQ’s are so significantly higher than the U.S.’s is because of the large amount of the immigrant population here in the US. The media follows her like she's Casey Anthony with their daily lists of drugs and alcohol she's consuming and who she's dating and breaking up with at the time. Typical tabloid stuff. Examples of this is Lohan, Hilton, the whole Jersey Shore cast and any other cast member of any reality show on MTV, Kardasians, you get the picture. Funny how these are mostly females.
