Established unquestioned concepts are the real reason for disappointment and stress? In our society every body is carrying a lot of common concepts with them, these are forming ones word view and ones self image. From there are coming our wishes and goals. From there we built up our security and our self esteem. From there we are motivated and that give us our feeling of existence. This is our *Personality*, that we feel we are. We are constantly looking for confirmation for our properties so that our feeling of existence stay alive. We are reacting all the time and to what ever shows up and so we can agree or disagree, feeling good or being angry and as we are also identified with our reactions, this might be feelings or thoughts, so we are confirmed in our personality. But is this *Personality* something real? Or is it just an illusion we have created ourselves, with the help of this society in that we have grown into and that keeps us busy? Are we living in a fake reality? Are the concepts we are holding the reason why we are not able to relate directly to what is there only through the filter of our concepts that dominate our view? And because our concepts are coming often from people who created them for their own purpose to gain power to strengthen their position, so these are also part of our fake reality? We are not questioning our self because that brings us into an insecure position? Do we all defend that what we believe we are: A self constructed and contained illusion? Is this the real reason why we have so much stress going through life? Because reality doesn't fit always to our concepts how things should be? And then we are disappointed and frustrated, right? Then we are getting out of balance with our self feeling and we are taking or doing things to find back our balance, often damaging our health with these substitutes... We ae not capable to relate objective to what shows up in daily life, we are expecting a certain way that things are and that people behave. Does it work? We are doing our best to change things and people and we are very good to manipulate conditions and people. Does it work? Sometimes yes and sometimes no, mostly not and that causes disappointment and stress, right? So what can we do about it? Can we change the world? Obviously not. What about changing ourselves? That seems to be the solution. About this during the last twenty years there have been developed some new concepts published by best seller writers. These new concepts are so sophisticated that they fulfill the need of any one who has doubts and so one can live these new concepts and can keep oneself busy for the rest of ones life. Right? We always seem to be tossing around verses but I try so hard to make them apply to me each day and so if I hope in God, that means no matter what is happening to me, I know He is in control. Why are people so obsessed with Don Imus instead of going after the real racists? When hate groups like the kkk openly express their views, they're "excercising their first amendment rights", but when some washed up radio guy uses the word "ho" it's somehow worthy of national attention. As if the majority of people who are attacking Imus are blameless and don't use and condone words like "ho" and "b*tch" in their daily language and on tv. When rap artists use blatantly racist and sexist lyrics that are far worse than "ho", it's seen as "entertainment". So racism and sexism is justifiable if you're not a white male. The real racists must be really pleased right now that so many would overreact to something so petty. What Imus did was distasteful, but nobody can assume what Imus's intentions were based on the words he used. How can we keep it real? When I lie in bed, listening to inspiring music, I get a feeling that is very emotional. I would say that these moments "pull" the humanity out of me. He has been raised Catholic (he's from Mexico) he doesn't go to church but he definitely has faith in God and he prays to Mary... He told me he loves Mary because she is the mother of everyone. As my religion seems to be changing I am frustrated because he is the only man I can see myself marrying. Very selfless and loving, always working hard for people he loves or those who need it. He would make the best husband and father to my children. He loves not just by words but always by real actions. I have already picked him.. But a couple of my new Christian friends tell me I can't be "unequally yoked". I need to be with a man who will lead me spiritually, who studies God's word daily. My fiance doesn't read the Bible, he wasn't taught that (I wasn't really taught the importance of it when I was Catholic). I don't want to have to try to convert him.. and I also don't want to end our engagement because I am understanding faith differently now. Why do people let cats out at night? I am a pet lover. Sadly, I'm allergic to cats, so I cannot own one, but I do have two dogs. I am very watchful over my dogs and would never just let them run free. Yet, I know many people let their cats "out for the night". Yet, each day I hear of or read sad stories where a person's cat didn't come home. Our urban world makes letting a cat out at night challenging - there are fleas/ticks, tons of cars, cat fights and dog fights. In other words, it is not safe for any cat to be free outside! Yet people do this daily. Worse, many cats kill birds, which is now endangering local bird populations! It seems to me that the damage caused by cats combined with placing their lives at risk is too great to let any cat outside unsupervised. Yet this continues. Why? Can a real cat lover explain this to me and justify their behavior? I would like to add that while I know cats "like" to be out at night, the reasons I mentioned above seem to indicate the risk is too great. For example, people like eating greasy, high-fat food, but the health risks are too great. So why would any rational being purposely put their cat at such great risk, not to mention the destruction of birds or other wild life species?

is my toddler gifted? Hi, I am curious to get some unbiased opinions about my 14 month old daughter. She is actually half way through her 14th month and is doing things that seem far beyond what the majority of 2 and 3 year olds are capable of. I was making a list of words that she could say (and use in context) for her 1st birthday and stopped counting them at 108 words. She can now say anything and I mean anything. If I had to take a stab in the dark, I would say that she frequently uses in the realm of 250 to 300 different words daily. She has been speaking in 3 to 4 word sentences for about a month or so now. Things such as "Knock on the door" or "Have more lollies please". Her sentences are not repetative and she is capable of using new words in correct context almost immediately. She knows all her colours but is reluctant to say 'orange' for some strange reason. She has over 350 flash cards and can name each one on sight without prompting. She can count to six without assistance and more often than not will find matching object to represent each number. For example, she loves to play with the washing line pegs when I am hanging the washing out and as they are all different colours, she will arrange them into groups of colour and then count out how many she has in each group. "Three purple pegs", "two green pegs" etc. She can also identify some letters of the alphabet. A, B, C, D, O, N, P, S, T, Z are the most common letters she notices. She will point to each letter and then ramble off two, three or sometimes even four objects that start with that letter. Not always the same objects though. The other day she came up to me with a block that had the letter 'S' on it and said "S is for sun. S is for snake. S is for See ya later." lol, I nearly fell over with laughter! Her motor skills are about where I would expect them to be. She started walking on her first birthday, rolled over and crawled at about the expected age and shows no real signs of being advanced in that area. She follows instructions and answers questions on a comparative rate to children aged around 3 or 4 years but I guess that is to be expected with such a strong vocabulary. I am mostly curious about her vocabulary and her love of books (she has countless books and knows them all by title). I have visited websites that give estimations about what is 'normal' and it seems that most children her age use only a handful of words. Would love to hear your thoughts on perhaps having her tested and where I could get this done in Australia or maybe even some feedback on any methods of extended learning that others have used with success. P.S. I rarely discuss her abilities with anyone who doesn't have the opportunity to see it with their own eyes as I usually get silly responses about being a biased mum. :)

As a result, he is being castigated for dishonoring authentic troops in a trumped up controversy generated by Media Matters — a left-wing propaganda machine with pockets lined by left-wing activists. The charge is being led by top Democrats who, when not busy defending other top Democrats for smearing our troops as “reminiscent of Genghis Khan,” terrorists, murderers, and comparable to “Nazis, Soviets in their gulags or some mad regime — Pol Pot or others — that had no concern for human beings,” fall mute when the vanguard of their hard-left base, MoveOn.org (abetted by the New York Times), describes the general heroically leading our forces in Iraq a traitor. And this is a story? Rush is, of course, the maestro of the most popular, most entertaining talk-radio show in America. He has an audience of millions, including people who vigorously disagree with his politics. Why do they listen? Because “talent on loan from God” — for all its insight, passion, and biting satire — has a hallmark notably absent from the other side’s one-note polemics: unfailing civility. On a typical excursion into broadcast excellence, there will be a liberal or two who call in to engage. These are often the finest moments of the program. The reason is good will. How do they fit, not just in the surrounding circumstances of the conversation but in the full body of the man’s work? In context, Rush was talking about the actual phony soldiers — those who pretend to serve. But in the body of his work, it is inconceivable that he was libeling honorable service men and women who disagree with him. Let’s leave aside the indisputable track record of his program, where Rush daily demonstrates he is as zealous and consistent a proponent of our armed forces as there is. Let’s put aside radio promotions like his “Adopt a Soldier” initiative that encourage public support for our troops while making his features more accessible to the countless troops who want them. Let’s even ignore for the moment his visits overseas to those in combat and stateside to those wounded in combat. There has never been an ideological test for that support. The Marines and their families needn’t agree with Rush’s politics to qualify. Instead, it is and it has always been an expression of heartfelt gratitude for service. What Rush Limbaugh has ceaselessly honored is military service — love of country, not ideological purity. Agree or disagree with his politics, it is shameful to suggest otherwise.

Will someone please give me a sane response? I'm really low right now. I consider suicide at least a few times daily. I've recently developed psoriasis and it's adding to the hopelessness. Christians only please? I had 2 kids out of wedlock before I came to the Lord.. and me and my kids father were living together when we both accepted the Lord.. Well he started to get distant.. I knew we were living in sin but I didn't expect him to leave the relationship completely... He told me that the Lord convicted him to leave me.. now its been 2 years and we both are still strong in our faith, go to church, are in the Word daily.. We still are friends and are raising our children "together" but not together.. I guess my question is why would the Lord convict him to leave instead of wanting to be a real family... its still a really confusing time for me because i always felt the Lord made families stronger not tear them apart... Are you aware of the wolves amongest the sheep? 2Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. This has been an interesting week of Daily Words. I have been cussed out, cursed by prophetesses, sent to Hell, prophesied on with doom and destruction, told off, and put on spiritual punishment by so many folks this week that it is not funny! Well, I take that back, only by a few folks. We have 10's of thousands that get this daily word and I gladly report that this week, we sifted out the ones that just want candy and cake, and are left with you, the people that hunger for true revelation. Not that I'm anything, but a vessel. It's God's word that is revealed here and that's all. Not for profit, not for fame, not for recognition, or accolades, but for the equipping of the saints of God so you can be wise, and know a devil when you see one! Don't you know that wolves in sheep clothing want your worship? In order to do that, they have to keep you dumber than they are. are there any real christians out there? by that, i mean do any of you really believe every word in the bible and try your best to practice it in your daily life. things such as: slaveholding, not allowing women to speak in church, killing adult film stars, gay people, and anyone having premarital sex for that matter, throwing rocks at people who work on sunday, sacrificing animals on that golden altar in your back yard, etc...? and yes, i am well aware of the new testament. however, God does say that he is eternal and unchanging, so these things should surely be ok in the eyes of God, correct? that is, if his word truly is eternal.

Is this world for real? I'm sorry, this question was only a trick question. To get you to check the real one out. I'm pretty sure this world is real, but I would like to know if someone can ever tell me why, WHY our own reality is so fake? Please, can you explain to me the discrepancy between what words like democracy, freedom and justice mean as definitions in a dictionary, and the way we apply them in REALITY? Do you even understand what I'm trying to ask, here? I'm not expecting answers, actually. Why is it that we have such beautiful ideals held high in our daily lives, but none of those ideals exist, only ghosts, or shadows of them? Okay, I was being a little dramatic saying I tricked everyone with a "false" question... But in the end, that question does, to an extent, complete the one further down, doesn't it? Yeah, a little... I still think that if we are to hold ideals high and act differently, then we should not have such ideals in the first place. Because those definitions of ideals do not reflect reality as they are implemented. Why not simply change those definition, so they fit the use we make of such terms? I'm still waiting for someone to tell me that those ideals described within the definitions that already exist are a goal to achieve: that we are aiming to one day apply such ideals in reality. Long Life May Be Your Cup of (Green) Tea By Kathleen Doheny HealthDay Reporter Adults who drank at least five cups of the brew daily had a lower risk of cardiovascular death and death from all other causes, except cancer, than those who drank less than one cup a day, according to a research team from Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan. They published their findings in the Sept. 13 Journal of the American Medical Association. While many laboratory and animal studies have suggested that green tea protects against illness, its effect in humans has been less clear. "Only four epidemiological studies [in people] have been conducted to date," said lead researcher Dr. Shinichi Kuriyama. And those studies "included small sample sizes, and the results were inconsistent," he added. However, "our study includes far more participants -- 40,350 -- than the previous studies," Kuriyama said. "I think our study would provide strong evidence regarding the benefits of drinking green tea in humans on cardiovascular disease." "To be more definitive, we need a randomized trial," said Chyu. He said his lab's animal studies have found that green tea does have cardio-protective effects, especially if consumption commences before the onset of hardening of the arteries. For those who might want to "go green" for health, "I'd probably take a neutral position right now," Chyu said. "Tea is not harmful, that we know," he said. If you're a tea drinker, continue, Chyu said. If not, be aware that the habit probably needs to be long-term before you reap any real health benefit. "I don't think I'd recommend people drink large quantities of green tea," added Dr. Robert Vogel, professor of medicine at the University of Maryland Medical School in College Park. Like Chyu, he stressed that the study only showed an association, not any direct cause-and-effect. What I expected to be a plastic-tasting lump of goo, shocked my pallet with the real taste of good ol' chocolate sauce from the old "I don't care about calories" days. dont know whats wrong? I have been experiencing double vision, headaches daily, bad memory, nausea, i have real trouble finding words to say, and i find it hard to write down what im thinking, i think of the word im going to write, and it comes out different. I have always had a photographic memory, and it seems to be failing. I dont know whats wrong. i have had the nausea for about a year, and the visual symptoms have been there for a few months, and the headaches have slowly gotten worse.

Why do i feel guilty for quitting my job? I started my job 7 years ago and loved it, Since that time my boss hired his best friend and he and I dont get along in fact before he was hired he called me the "C" word. Not only did he get hired I have to deal with him on a daily basis as a supervisor. Now I am quitting but I feel quilty . Prior to this my boss was an awesome boss he would help any one anyway he could. But I cant stand his friend he is rude and thinks he knows everything. We need to ask for forgiveness of tolerating idolatry that removes His Sovereignty over His Church. To see that the Church is in grave danger we must have a clear understanding of what a corporation is. We also need to realize what the courts have ruled about corporations and that a corporation has no rights, only privileges, granted by the "estate." To become a corporation removes the authority of the Lord over a corporate church and puts it under the bondage of man's law. According to man, The State is Sovereign over its Corporations 1. "A corporation is a creature of the state. It is presumed to be incorporated for the benefit of the public. It receives certain special privileges and franchises and holds them subject to the laws of the state and the limitation of its charter. Its powers are limited by law. It can make no contract not authorized by its charter. Its rights to act as a corporation are only preserved to it so long as it obeys the laws of its creation. There is a reserved right in the legislature to investigate its contracts and ascertain if it has exceeded its powers" (Hale v. Henkel, 201 U.S. 43) 2. "[A corporation is] an artificial person or legal entity created by or under the authority of the laws of a state. An association of persons created by statute as a legal entity.... The corporation is distinct from the individuals who comprise it (shareholders).... Such an entity subsists as a body politic under a special denomination, which is regarded in law as having a personality and existence distinct from that of its several members." Black's Law Dictionary West Publishing Company, 1991; 6th Edition, page 340. 3. "A corporation derives its existence and all of its powers from the State and, therefore, has only such powers as the State has conferred upon it. Power is used here to mean the legal capacity to execute and fulfill the objects and purposes for which the corporation was created, and the source of this power is the charter and the statute under which the corporation was organized." Len Young Smith and G. Gale Roberson, Smith and Roberson's Business Law, West Publishing Company, 1966, page 796. A corporation derives its existence and all of its power from the State. The church on the other hand was created by and is the body of Christ. We belong to Him and we are subject to Him and His Laws. The source of any church's power is supposed to be the Holy Spirit; it's authority to function solely from God. 4. "Corporate existence is a privilege granted by the sovereign upon compliance with specified conditions" Len Young Smith and G. Gale Roberson, Smith and Roberson's Business Law, West Publishing Company, 1966, page 931. . 5. "Corporations are not citizens.... The term citizen... applies only to natural persons... not to artificial persons created by the legislature" Paul v. Virginia, 8 Wall. 168, 177; see also the Opinion of Field, J., in the Slaughterhouse Cases, 16 Wall.36,99 The Word of God teaches us that Christians, His Holy Church, are citizens of the household of God (Eph.2:19). 6. Every corporation has obtained a charter from the State of Incorporation. This charter is simply permission to exist given to the corporation (by the State!) without which, its operations would be considered illegal. In addition to the charter are the articles of incorporation: "The objects or purposes for which a corporation is formed are expressly stated in its articles of incorporation, which delineate in general language the type of business activities in which the corporation proposes to engage" Smith and Roberson's Business Law, West Publishing Company, 1966, page 798. 7. "Instances of non-profit corporations are educational institutions, athletic clubs, library clubs, fraternities, sororities, hospitals, and organizations which have exclusively a charitable purpose" Smith and Roberson's Business Law, West Publishing Company, 1966, page 789. (Note: The purpose of the church is not "charity," nor is it's purpose exclusively charitable. Charity should be a function of every church, but is certainly not it's purpose. Offering worship to God, evangelism to the lost, and the fellowship and equipping of the saints are among church's exclusive purposes. (gm) The Lord is Sovereign over His Churches : Jesus is the Head of the Church, not man Paul compares the special relationship of Christ and His church to the God giving relationship of man and wife. What can be closer or more special then this? Would you bring another person into your marriage to control it with worldly principles? I hope the answer is no. Then why would you bring in a "fictitious entity" no less created by the state and man i.e.: corporation, to run and regulate something that belongs to the Lord? The relationship with Jesus and His Church belongs to Him alone. He is the Head of the Church and as such He governs it with His Laws, Principles and Directions. After all He is our King and is Sovereign over His Church. To become a corporation in effect divorces the church from Christ. We also commit idolatry by putting something before Him. Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Christ is the Saviour of the body (the church); not the state. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. The church is subject to Christ not the state. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Christ has purchased the church with His own blood. The State can give nothing for the church and should give nothing to the church. 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. The church should be holy and without blemish, to mingle the church with the state/worldly system is to bring spot and wrinkle to the church because of what the state/world does and says, homosexuality, abortion, adultery and many other things are acceptable, they pass laws making them that way. This goes against God; should the church be partakers of that? 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: The Lord nourishes and cherishes the church. Throughout history the state has tried to destroy the church. It still does through legislation trying to control all aspects of the free and corporate church. 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. The church is a living organism with a living head and body. Therefore the church is not a religious organization. It is possible to be a religious or charitable organization without being a church. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. The church is to be joined unto Christ. In Matthew Jesus used the word cleave. I do not see that the church is to be joined to Christ and the state. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. He speaks of the relationship that the church is supposed to have with Christ. One that is supposed to be holy and true. One, that's with each other without interference, blessed. Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church Christ is to be all things to the church. He is in Charge and Head of the church not the state. The state is under His feet, it is the footstool of the Lord why put it ahead of Him? 23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. KJV There are more Scriptures that would support that Jesus is the sole authority over the church. Most of us Christians know this and believe this. I challenge my brothers and sisters to find them. Study them, to see if the Truth is being brought forth. Jesus Christ Should Be The Head Of The Church - Why Then Incorporate? Many people for some reason think that a church has to. This is far from the truth on a few different levels. Here in the United States of America a church does not have to incorporate at all to be recognized as a local body of believers. (Not sure why they would want recognition from the state anyway.) I know some of you are thinking "Well, Romans 13 says..." Most of us have been taught that whatever the government says, goes. Wrong! If the government passes a law that interferes or contradicts one of Gods law we are not bound to follow it. There are examples of this in the Bible ; we have all heard the story of Daniel and the lions' den. To think Christians are bound by the laws of men, when it comes to the work of the Kingdom, is just stupid. If this were the case the church in Russia, China, Middle East and other places - if they listened to Romans 13 the way it is applied now - would never have seen growth. How about the brothers/sisters that smuggled Bibles into the old Soviet Block, China, Cuba and others? Whose law did they break? Man's. The local government's. They may be held accountable for their actions by men, they might even lose their lives. Guess what? God will reward them for their actions. They were doing the work of the Kingdom. I know most of us have heard that Federal law supercedes state law. State law supercedes county, city and town law, and so on and so forth. Guess what? The law of God supercedes all of man's law when it goes against His own (Acts 4:18-19). The point is even if there was a law requiring churches to incorporate we would not be bound to do so. In doing so we would be removing the Lordship of Jesus and giving it to the state. Thank God we have not reached this point yet in this country but don't be fooled, its coming. Why then do churches incorporate? 1. They think they have to. 2. They feel it gives them some benefit. 3. They think it gives them prestige. 4. Asset protection. 5. Think it's the only way gifts are tax deductible. 6. Think its okay with God. 7. They have always done it that way. The list could go on, I'm sure we could all find some earthly reasons why we think incorporating would be a good idea. We Still Think It's The Law - Show me Otherwise If you still think it's the law and that would make any difference to you in your relationship with the Lord, I will show you differently: "Congress shall make no law regarding an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" (U.S. Constitution, First Amendment). According to the Internal Revenue Code, "a church, its integrated auxiliaries, and conventions and associations of the church are excluded from taxation." United States Code, Title 26, 508(c)(1)(A). Section 508(c) of the Internal Revenue Code provides that churches are not required to apply for recognition of Section 501(c)(3) status in order to be exempt from federal taxation or to receive tax deductible contributions. Churches are automatically exempt from Federal income tax, and contributions to churches are deductible by donors under section 170. Elsewhere, the IRS states: "Although a church, its integrated auxiliaries, or a convention of churches is not required to file Form 1023 to be exempt from federal income tax or to receive tax deductible contributions, such an organization may find it advantageous to obtain recognition of exemption (Tax Exempt Status for Your Organization, IRS Publication 557). Just what "advantage" is there for a church in obtaining 501(c)(3) recognition and thereby exchanging its sovereignty for a subordinate status in relation to the federal government? Most people would answer that such grants the church exemption from taxation. However, we have already seen that the federal government has never been able to tax the Church of Christ; the Church is not exempt from taxation, it is immune. The "advantage" is something else entirely: "By establishing its exemption, potential contributors are assured by the [Internal Revenue] Service that contributions will be deductible" Tax Exempt Status for Your Organization, IRS Publication 557. The tragic irony of all this is that, according to the Internal Revenue Code, financial donations to an unregistered, unincorporated church are automatically tax-deductible (26 USC 170-B). The government has no constitutional authority over the Church. It is not allowed to violate the First Amendment protection that the constitution provides. In fact the government may not infringe on any of our constitutional rights at all. They have found a way around this of course. To hold out an unbiblical advantage hoping an ignorant clergy person will take the bait and bring the church into voluntary compliance by forming a 501( C )(3) corporation, thus placing the church under the authority of the state. Once the church has been transformed into a corporation it then becomes subject to control by federal and state governments. In truth an incorporated church is no longer a church!! but merely a non-profit organization. Once a church incorporates the new non-profit organization is subject to total control by the government. You will be controlled on who you hire, what you can and cannot preach. You cannot conflict with public policy nor assault the hearer's sense of mental well being, self-esteem, sexual orientation etc. You can be sued. The IRS prohibits such organizations from "carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation" (26 USC 501-C-3). This prohibition extends, not only to the endorsement of a political candidate, but also any other attempts to "influence legislation," including taking a public stand against such government-protected abominations, such as abortion or homosexuality. Now, the church is discovering that favors from Washington, DC have strings attached. In this case, the string is a rope that is being used to throttle her once-powerful voice, to squeeze out her very life and, eventually, to hang her by the neck until dead! History Of Our New Nation: One of the reason people came to the new land was to get away from the entanglements of the old world. Quite a few of the reasons dealt with the issue of church and state. People where fleeing a repressive regime where there was a state-sponsored church or the church was running the governments. It was bad enough that people picked up and left. Now we seem to be returning to what our forefathers left on our own free will. We are taking a license to preach from the state, being told what we can and can't say. One of the things that inspired Patrick Henry's speech "Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death" was, he saw a man being beaten for preaching the gospel without a license. If we forget history we are doomed to repeat it. We as Christians need to wake up and take a stand. One thing that sticks in my mind is when I got married : "By the power vested in me by God and the State of California I now...." What Do I Do Now? (This section will not be favored by corporate Pastor/Ministers.) 1. You became incorporated, become unincorporated. 2. Talk to your Pastor/Minister about this important issue. 3. Rescind your membership in an incorporated church. 4. Don't incorporate. 5. Don't support incorporated churches. 6. Find an unincorporated church. 7. Start an unincorporated church. 8. Study Your Bible Daily. 9. Pray for the Body of Christ. 10. Witness and lead people to a personal relationship with Jesus. I know finding an unincorporated church will be a real chore, as there are not many out there. There is also a real need to hear and study the word. If you must go to an incorporated church I suggest not becoming a member. I know this is not the norm but we have to remember who the head of the church is, and especially, that we are not join to ourselves to a harlot. Churches which have (knowingly or not) substituted the authority of Christ with sinful man's demonically-influenced word system fit this description. This issue has weighed on my spirit for a long time. I'm guilty of idolatry for finding things to put before Him in the writing of this paper. I was led to write this and now it's almost done. I only pray that God will get the glory, eyes and hearts will be opened and His Will be done. I realize this paper will not make me many friends. I know this, but that was not the point. I pray people will take the time to search out what The Word has to say on this issue. I'm certain many people will come to the same conclusion and we can restore the Lordship of Jesus Christ to his rightful place over HIS church. How do you really know if you are going to Heaven, I mean really know. Considering...? How do you know you are saved? The most common answer: because I believe in GOD. The Bible says that even the demons believe in 1 GOD (James 2:19), so what real good will that do you? Do you know that the Bible also says that Faith (or belief in JESUS CHRIST) without works is dead (James 2:20). Now to understand what GOD is saying here is very important, and your salvation depends on it. Please hear the words of JESUS when HE talked to Nicodemus, who was a Pharisee (a religious leader). HE told him that unless a person is born again, he cannot see or enter the Kingdom of GOD (John 3:1-3). I earnestly desire that you understand this because there is so much confusion surrounding this part of GOD’S Word. Understanding this is important because in this part of GOD’S WORD we find out how to be truly assured of Salvation. Somewhere along the line people started to misunderstand and misinterpret the Bible. Now because of this many people are not even sure how to get saved, also many people are not sure of their Salvation, but most people are just flat out deceiving themselves into thinking they are SAVED. Whatever the case may be I desire everyone to understand (and not be deceived) how to have Salvation and spend all eternity with JESUS CHRIST in HEAVEN. Now to understand this, again we take the words of JESUS when he talked with Nicodemus and HE said a person must be born again to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Let’s notice what JESUS did not say, HE did not say you could be a good person and go to Heaven, and notice JESUS did not say that if you went to church you would/could make it to Heaven, and HE definitely did not say that another religion could save you. For JESUS said HIMSELF that HE was the way the Truth and the life, and that no man comes to the FATHER except through HIM (John 14:6). Now again what did JESUS say, HE said that A PERSON MUST BE BORN AGAIN TO ENTER GOD’S KINGDOM. Now what does it mean to be born again, and how do you know you are born again so you can enter the Kingdom of Heaven? Let me answer this for you and then please go to the Bible and check it out for yourself, and you be the judge. Now to be on the way to truly being born again your first step will be to admit your need for a Savior, because you are a sinner, for the Bible says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD (Rom 3:23). Your second step is to repent, and to repent is to turn away from the life you are now living, and turn your life to GOD and live a new life in CHRIST JESUS, for JESUS said to those who came to HIM and wanted to follow HIM that they needed to deny themselves and take up their crosses daily and follow HIM (Luke 9:23-26). As you see JESUS tells us HE is a daily choice that involves laying your life down in order to have a new life. You see in those days when someone picked up their cross that meant that they were going to walk the road to the place where they would be crucified on that cross, and they would not be coming back alive!!! Again JESUS said to those that came to HIM “to count the cost before following HIM” (Luke 14:25-33), because again, it did and does involve you laying down your life to the LORDSHIP of JESUS CHRIST. After this your next step the Bible says, is to confess with your mouth the LORD JESUS, and believe in your heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead and you will be saved (Rom. 3:23). Now once you have done all this JESUS said that the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD would come into our lives (John 7:37-39). Now how does this happen? Well it is a SUPERNATURAL change of the heart and mind. This is an invisible change that takes place inside of you the moment you give your life to CHRIST unconditionally. But there is a way we can tell if we are saved or not, and that is to take once again the words of JESUS. JESUS said that we would know them by their fruit, and that a good tree would not produce bad fruit & a bad tree would not produce good fruit (Luke 6:43-45). JESUS is talking about us here, and the fruits are the things that come out of us, like our actions and our behaviors and even the ways in which we think. The Bible says that when we are in CHRIST we become new creations in JESUS (2 Corinthians 5:17), that the old things (or ways) would DIE, and a new life would begin. So you see that GOD’S WORD is very clear to us on this point, and is saying to us that if we are truly BORN AGAIN we will think different, act different, and even see things different, YOU WILL, EXPERIENCE A DRAMATIC CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE!!! Please listen to what GOD is saying here, and listen carefully, this is your SALVATION I AM TALKING ABOUT HERE. If at one time you prayed the sinner’s prayer and you have not had a dramatic change happen in your life, “I mean a dramatic overhaul in yourself and in the life you live”, then something is wrong. So you see the works and the fruits that the Bible talks about, come from an INDWELLING OF GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT LIVING INSIDE OF YOU WHEN YOU ARE TRULY SAVED. For JESUS says that “every branch (meaning us) abiding in ME will bear much fruit” (John 15:1-5). PLEASE examine yourself and your life and ask yourself, “Am I really saved, and when I die will I truly inherit eternal life with JESUS CHRIST in Heaven forever, or am I deceiving myself?” The GOOD NEWS is that even if you are not right with GOD, you can turn right now from that old life (REPENT) and have a new life with JESUS CHRIST, and GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT LIVING INSIDE YOU AND CHANGING YOU EVERY DAY. Turn to CHRIST with your WHOLE HEART, and make HIM LORD over your life and get ready to become a new CREATION. If you turned your life to CHRIST after reading this then PLEASE start PRAYING daily, and have a personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST who loves you so much, HE died for you on a cross (John 3:16) about 2,000 years ago. The real meaning of Thanksgiving Day? Most schools in America try to tell that Thanksgiving is a holiday to celebrate and be thankful for the friendship with the Indians. We were not their friends if you look through real history and facts. The events that took place show that we in fact slaughtered them to take over their lands. Much like we have done to many ever since. People think of the Pilgrims and Indians sitting down to a big feast and celebrating. It seems that did happen only one time! The real truth about Thanksgiving is below for those that care to read on. The real story of Thanksgiving began in 1614 when a band of English explorers sailed home to England with a ship full of Patuxet Indians bound for slavery. They left a gift called smallpox for the remaining Indians. That virtually wiped out those who had escaped the explorers. When the Pilgrims arrived in Massachusetts Bay they found only one living Patuxet Indian. The Indians name was Squanto. He not only survived slavery in England but he also knew their language. Squanto taught the pilgrims to grow corn and to fish. Squanto negotiated a peace treaty between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Nation. At the end of their first year, the Pilgrims held a great feast honoring Squanto and the Wampanoags. Sadly the word spread in England about the land found in the new world. It seems that the Pilgrims were all talking of taking over the lands. Soon after the word of the new land spread the religious zealots called Puritans began arriving by boats to the (so called) new found lands. (These lands were not new to the Indians for it had been their home and land long before and evil Pilgrims set foot there.) Since there were no fences or security around the land they considered it to be in the public domain. With the help of other British settlers they captured strong young Native Americans for slaves and killed the rest. They then took over the land from the Indians that remained living. The Pequot Nation had not agreed to the peace treaty Squanto had negotiated and they fought back. The Pequot War was one of the bloodiest Indian wars ever fought. The Pilgrims killed all Indian Tribes & took over the lands in a brutal way. In 1637 about 700 men, women and children of the Pequot Tribe had gathered for their annual Green Corn Festival. That is what they call our Thanksgiving celebration. In the early morning hours the sleeping Indians were surrounded by English and Dutch mercenaries. It is said they then ordered them to come outside. Those who came out were shot or clubbed to death. The terrified women and children who huddled inside and some were burned alive. The next day the governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared "A Day Of Thanksgiving" because 700 unarmed men, women and children had been murdered. Sadly that is the story of Thanksgiving that has been documented in many places and it is the facts that they try to hide from most Americans. The Indians were not violent savage people as they would make you think in a lot of American History books and schools. The Indians were those that believed in Nature and protection of animals and other people. The Indians were amazing in many ways. They did not kill just to be killing or kill for lands and power as the usa does. The Indians were brave warriors that fought hard to try to keep their families safe and worked together to share and provide food, clothing and shelter to each other. Now maybe we see why some more peaceful countries do not celebrate this day. I myself am always sad on Thanksgiving when I think of what has been done and wonder what it would have been like if not for the sad slaughter of the beautiful Indians. Now what does it mean to be born again, and how do you know you are born again so you can enter the Kingdom of Heaven? Let me answer this for you and then please go to the Bible and check it out for yourself, and you be the judge. Now to be on the way to truly being born again your first step will be to admit your need for a Savior, because you are a sinner, for the Bible says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD (Rom 3:23). Your second step is to repent, and to repent is to turn away from the life you are now living, and turn your life to GOD and live a new life in CHRIST JESUS, for JESUS said to those who came to HIM and wanted to follow HIM that they needed to deny themselves and take up their crosses daily and follow HIM (Luke 9:23-26). As you see JESUS tells us HE is a daily choice that involves laying your life down in order to have a new life. You see in those days when someone picked up their cross that meant that they were going to walk the road to the place where they would be crucified on that cross, and they would not be coming back alive!!! Again JESUS said to those that came to HIM “to count the cost before following HIM” (Luke 14:25-33), because again, it did and does involve you laying down your life to the LORDSHIP of JESUS CHRIST. After this your next step the Bible says, is to confess with your mouth the LORD JESUS, and believe in your heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead and you will be saved (Rom 10:9). Now once you have done all this JESUS said that the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD would come into our lives (John 7:37-39). Now how does this happen? Well it is a SUPERNATURAL change of the heart and mind. This is an invisible change that takes place inside of you the moment you give your life to CHRIST unconditionally. But there is a way we can tell if we are saved or not, and that is to take once again the words of JESUS. JESUS said that we would know them by their fruit, and that a good tree would not produce bad fruit & a bad tree would not produce good fruit (Luke 6:43-45). JESUS is talking about us here, and the fruits are the things that come out of us, like our actions and our behaviors and even the ways in which we think. The Bible says that when we are in CHRIST we become new creations in JESUS (2 Corinthians 5:17), that the old things (or ways) would DIE, and a new life would begin. So you see that GOD’S WORD is very clear to us on this point, and is saying to us that if we are truly BORN AGAIN we will think different, act different, and even see things different, YOU WILL, EXPERIENCE A DRAMATIC CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE!!! If at one time you prayed the sinner’s prayer and you have not had a dramatic change happen in your life, “I mean a dramatic overhaul in yourself and in the life you live”, then something is wrong. PLEASE examine yourself and your life and ask yourself, “Am I really saved, and when I die will I truly inherit eternal life with JESUS CHRIST in Heaven forever, or am I deceiving myself?” The GOOD NEWS is that even if you are not right with GOD, you can turn right now from that old life (REPENT) and have a new life with JESUS CHRIST, and GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT LIVING INSIDE YOU AND CHANGING YOU EVERY DAY. Turn to CHRIST with your WHOLE HEART, and make HIM LORD over your life and get ready to become a new CREATION. The Meaning of Christ’s Return- Should we expect a literal return to this planet? RECENTLY a Canadian newspaper interviewed a number of clergymen of different faiths as to their understanding of the meaning of Christ’s return. One said that the second coming of Christ was accomplished by the acceptance of Christ’s teachings by individuals and not by his returning to earth. A Presbyterian minister said that he believed “there will be a physical return of Christ.” Yet another expressed belief in two comings: one to receive the Christians in the air and take them to heaven, and the second to come back to the earth and then reign there forever with his followers. And, finally, one minister admitted that he did not understand the doctrine. Obviously there is confusion on this subject among the world’s religions. In view of the importance of the Bible teaching on this subject we do well to investigate the real meaning of Christ’s return and learn how it takes place. Christ’s return does not mean, as some clergymen imply, that as the world becomes more Christian Christ’s coming becomes more complete, and that when world conversion is accomplished Christ will have returned in the fullest sense. If that teaching were correct, we would be obliged to say that Christ is leaving rather than returning, since, not only is the world becoming less Christian in proportion to world population figures, but even the nominal Christian sectors are steadily drifting farther away from his teachings and example. Jesus’ own answer to his apostles’ question about his return shows that he did not believe such world conversion would take place.—See Matthew 24:3-14. Does that leave us with only one other alternative: a literal return of Christ Jesus to our planet Earth? Not at all. Again Jesus’ words rule out such idea. At John 6:51 he says: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread he will live forever; and, for a fact, the bread that I shall give is my flesh in behalf of the life of the world.” Jesus thus gave up his fleshly body in sacrifice for mankind. For how long was that sacrifice to be in effect? The apostle Paul answers: “We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.” (Heb. 10:10) Christ Jesus will therefore not take back what he gave up, namely, his fleshly existence. Those who hold to the idea of a reign by Christ Jesus from an earthly throne are thereby downgrading the grandness of the heavenly hope Jesus set before his anointed followers. Such persons would make it appear that the heavenly abodes he promised to prepare for his disciples are only to be places of temporary sojourn until they return to this earth with him, as though it, after all, were the better place to be. (John 14:2, 3) Jesus encouraged his followers to faithfulness, holding out as a reward the privilege of sitting with him near his Father’s throne. His Father said: “The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.” (Acts 7:49) So why would Jesus bring these followers down to the footstool again?—Rev. 3:21; 2 Cor. 5:1, 16; Col. 3:1, 2. IN WHAT SENSE HE RETURNS Much of the difficulty apparently lies in the failure to realize that the word “return” can mean something else besides a going back bodily to a previous geographical location. Yet, in everyday speech, we often speak of “returning” in other senses. For example, we say that a person has “returned to normal health,” or that a deposed ruler has “returned to power” (although he may never have left his palace). Note the Bible’s use of the word at Genesis 18:10. There Jehovah God told Abraham: “I am surely going to return to you next year at this time, and, look! Sarah your wife will have a son.” He kept this promise, not by making a literal visit to Sarah, but by extending his power toward her so that in her old age she could conceive and give birth to Isaac. (Gen. 21:1) The Bible tells of a number of occasions in which Jehovah “visited” the nation of Israel. Thus we read concerning Naomi, Ruth’s mother-in-law, that “she had heard . . . that Jehovah had turned his attention to [“visited,” RS] his people.” How? “By giving them bread.” So his visit was not a literal going to their land but a turning of his attention to them or taking certain action toward them.—Ruth 1:6; Gen. 18:21. Therefore, since Christ’s return does not mean a literal coming back to this earth, it must mean that he takes Kingdom power toward this earth and turns his attention to the earth. He does not need to leave his heavenly throne and make a bodily descent to our small planet to do this, any more than the president of the United States has to go to all the fifty States of the Union in order to preside over them. Before his ascension to heaven, Jesus told his disciples: “Look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” (Matt. 28:20) How was he with them? Not literally, but by means of holy spirit, poured out at Pentecost, he continued to guide and instruct them so that wherever even two or three gathered together he could be “there . . . in their midst.” (Matt. 18:20) However, his return in Kingdom power would mean much more and result in the accomplishment of certain definite purposes affecting all mankind. WHAT HIS RETURN ACCOMPLISHES Bible evidence and the historical facts in fulfillment prove that in the year 1914 C.E. God’s due time arrived for his Son to begin ruling from his heavenly throne and that the cry was then heard in heaven: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ.” (Rev. 12:10) What would the exercise of Christ’s authority now mean? It meant that not only his loyal disciples on earth but all the nations would be “gathered before him” and would come in for survey, inspection and judgment. From his glorious throne in the heavens Christ has turned his attention toward all of them and he does not need to send out a satellite equipped with television cameras to do this. He thus accomplishes one of the purposes of his return, that of judging the nations and separating the people as “sheep” or “goats.” (Matt. 25:31-33) Not by angels alone but also by faithful Christian witnesses does he accomplish this, sending them into all the inhabited earth to announce the good news of his established kingdom.—Matt. 24:14. Christ’s return additionally means that he turns his attention to his surviving disciples and to other joint heirs who sleep in earthly graves. The apostle tells us: “We the living who survive to the presence of the Lord shall in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.” (1 Thess. 4:15, 16) When on earth Jesus stood before the door of Lazarus’ tomb and called for him to come out. Now, from his heavenly position of power he can send down this call simultaneously to thousands of graves all over the globe and, by means of God’s spirit, cause his anointed followers to rise from death to life as spirit sons of God and to join him in his heavenly rule. (Rev. 14:1) Bible evidence indicates that he began to do so from 1918 C.E. onward. His return also means a time for showing favor to the faithful Christians yet alive on earth, and so, in the verse following those just quoted, we read: “Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thess. 4:17) This does not mean that these living Christians will be exempted from having to prove faithful until death, but, rather, means that their King now expresses his approval of them and unites them with himself spiritually, in a way that is as invisible to human eyes as the air itself is. He frees them from any captivity to modern “Babylon the Great,” the world empire of false religion, and elevates them to a position of honor aS the approved representatives of his glorious kingdom. Revelation 11:11, 12 symbolically shows that even their enemies are obliged to behold the evidence of the King’s favor manifested toward these loyal subjects. Eventually his return will also mean complete relief from all persecution and suffering for such faithful Christians who now fearlessly witness about his kingdom. The apostle Paul promised: “To you who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels.” (2 Thess. 1:7) In this age of electronically controlled “ground-to-air” and “air-to-ground” missiles, Christ Jesus, with ‘all authority in heaven and earth’ invested in him, will not have to abandon his heavenly throne and travel to a position geographically near the enemy opposers of his servants on earth in order to eliminate such wicked ones. Like a “sharp long sword” and a rod of iron, his power by God’s spirit and through the mighty angelic hosts will reach all such ones and crush them like ‘grapes in a winepress.’ His return will therefore mean destruction for them at the coming battle of Armageddon.—Matt. 28:18; Rev. 19:11-15; 16:14-16; Ps. 2:8, 9. Christ’s return in Kingdom power will have a wonderful meaning for an unnumbered multitude of persons who love righteousness and who will serve him as earthly subjects. To these he will say: “Come, you who have my Father’s blessing, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world.” (Matt. 25:34) Christ’s thousand-year rule over them will raise them to human perfection and qualify them for everlasting life in the paradise earth.—Rev. 20:4-6; 21:1-4. The nation of Israel waited fifteen long centuries for the coming of the Messiah and then missed its meaning when it occurred. Do not miss the meaning of Christ’s return today. Is the hatred of muslim women wearing veils getting out of hand? Why do we have the highest number of prisoners since 1997 and yet the highest number of crime.? Since 1997 this government promulgated the highest number of laws, employed the highest number of police, put the highest number of people in prison, yet the number of serious crime increases on daily basis. I just can't find any sensible answer to this ironic state of affairs in the country. Is it because Britain has the highest number of criminals in Europe or the laws do not work or the prison system is only a commercial venture with a revolving door or this government is only a toothless bulldog trying to look tough on crime.
