Daily Disposable Contacts Knowledge Base
What website has the cheapest contacts and/or what are the best daily disposable contacts? I've never bought contacts off the internet before, and I've been looking on Google, but there are like 1000 places. Does anyone have personal experience buying contacts online? I'm looking for daily disposable, probably 1-Day Acuvue Moist. I've never used daily contacts before either, and my doctor just gave me a sample of 1-day acuvue moist that seem good. Does anyone have any experience with different kinds of daily contacts?
How do I know what daily disposable contacts to buy? I usually order my prescription from my eye doctor, but I can only do so in bulk, and that doesn't fit into my budget at the moment. My prescription is -8.5 in each eye. Do daily disposable contacts come in that kind of prescription? I only need them for parties/raves where I'm wearing a mask and cant put my glasses on or under it.
How do I save my daily disposable contacts because i wore them only half day? I have daily disposable contacts, thus they last one day. but today i want to wear them for only about 5 hours. i don't want to waste em, and i would like to get another 5 hours out of them tomorrow. so do i just take em out when im done and put em in a case with solution? then wear em tomorrow? is that how it works, also is it SAFE?
How long can you wear daily disposable contacts? My mom was telling me how it was bad to wear my contacts for too long because my eyes won't get enough oxygen. I don't know if it's due to my contacts, but my glasses are now blurry and my prescription is supposedly the same. Thanks and I'm looking for how many hours it's okay to wear daily disposable contacts. Thank you all!
Is it okay to reuse daily disposable contacts? Is it okay to reuse daily disposable contacts when I clean my pair with cleaning solution (Opti Free)? Will it damage my eyes in the long run? Also, I would like to know what is the perfect life of daily disposable contacts (6 hrs, 12 hrs or 24 hours)? Thank you, and have a nice day.
How long is it safe to keep and wear daily disposable contacts? So I used to wear soft reusable three-month contacts, but they were too much of a pain this last year, so I downgraded to daily disposables. I usually only wear them to exercise, which is maybe every other day for five hours, and of course it seems like a tremendous waste to actually use a new pair every single day for only a few hours. How safe is it to, say, wear them for five hours one day, then store them in solution in a contact case for two days, then wear them for five hours again? Is it OK to keep them and wear them for a week? Or even longer? (I think a week would probaby be max for me.) Yeah, I'm careful about keeping them clean, and rub them when I take them out. Lately I've only been wearing them two times a pair. I know the company says "keep them only one day," but, jeez ... such a waste. Of course they want you to throw them out as quickly as possible so you'll buy more. Ha. OK. You've sufficiently freaked me out with the part about corneal damage.
How much do daily disposable contacts cost? Recently, I've thought about playing tennis but it wouldn't look nice if I was wearing glasses. So I searched up contact lens pros and cons and I got this gruesome news story on how this guy almost lost his vision because of an infection in his contact lens so I decided to get disposable ones. How do they work? How much do they cost? Do they expire? Let's say I go to tennis practice 2 times a week, can I wear 2 pairs disposable contacts a week only or do I have to wear a pair everyday? This question kind of relates to the expiring question.
Taking out daily disposable contacts and wearing them next day? So I would like to save some money, and wondering if anyone has tried taking out daily lenses, especially the Daysoft brand ones, which are really inexpensive, putting them in solution and wearing them, if so how many uses can you comfortably get out of them?
Daily-disposable contacts for every day use? I have really dry eyes, and have tried 2-week and monthly lenses, but they still have my eyes feeling dry after a few hours of use. I heard that daily would help, less dry, etc.. My question is, though, if I were to buy daily use contacts for every day use, how much more money would I be spending compared to 2-week lenses or monthly lenses? I know it's more because of the sheer amount I'd be buying, but is it THAT much more? Thanks for any help!
How Long can i ACTUALLY wear my daily disposable contacts? wink*? So i've worn dailies for a few months now and it feels like such a waste, so i extended the wear duration to two days, then a week, then two weeks and it seems like nothing happened and it felt perfectly fine (of course i soak and rub in solution everynight) So is it safe to do that? Cause im really thinking this daily disposable thing is a marketing scam. $2 bucks a day...
For daily disposable contacts, we don't need saline/eyedrops? Well, so I just bought daily acuvue disposable contacts today and I have to wear it tomorrow for an event.... I have worn hard lens a few years back and I recall that I had to put a drop of eyedrop/saline (can't remember which) before inserting it into my eyes. However, it's not the case for daily contact lenses right? The optician told me that I did not have to buy anything (i.e. saline) apart from the lenses, unlike monthly contact lenses. But I did not get to try it on because the optometrist was not there... Could someone advise on how I should wear them? >< THANKS!
Do I really need Daily Disposable contacts? About a year ago, my optometrist switched me to daily disposable contacts because I kept getting contact-induced pink eye. I always trust my doctors, so I did what he said. (Back in middle school, I used to sleep in my contacts for weeks at a time, which ruined my eyes. I know, I was pretty stupid.) Now, I know I should probably do what he said, but I'm a college student, money is very tight, and daily contacts are EXPENSIVE. I've been re-using them, which I know is pretty bad, but I don't have money to buy them as often as I should. I know I could just wear glasses, but then I'd have to get new glasses because the ones I have are an old prescription and I can't see very well out of them. Can I switch back to 2-week contacts if I change them as often as I should?
Can I wear my daily disposable contact lenses to the beach? I will be going to the beach and to a water park later this week. I cant see at all without glasses or contacts, but I am afraid I will lose or break my glasses. So if I wear daily disposable contacts and throw them away right after being at the beach, and change them after washing my hands, will it be okay?
What is the best brand of daily disposable contact lenses? I just got contacts and I ♥ them! What is the best brand of daily disposable contacts to buy? Also, is it better to order them online? They're alot cheaper at discountcontactlenses.com.. And any tips would be much appreciated ! ♥ ♥
Swimming with Daily disposable soft contacts with goggles? I will be wearing goggles( 5 buck ones from wal mart, nothing special), and I will throw them out right after, but I hear that chlorine can get stuck between your contact and eye and give you infections or diseases(this is in a indoor swimming pool) Is it safe?
daily disposable contacts? i am a daily contact lens wearer looking to buy contacts which are daily disposables but can be worn ALL DAY (not just for twelve hours) my eyes become dry whilst wearing my daily disposables and i usually have to take them out after around 8 hours of wear. i would like some that i can put in early in the morning and take out very late at night, then dispose of. ones that moisturize themselves and let in plenty of oxygen. preferably with UV block if possible. please recommend! i need them to be able to be worn over or around 16 hours
Daily disposable contacts? Do you think their my best bet? Instead of monthly ones? I'm turning 13 soon. The disposable contacts costs 1$ a day, so $365 a year or less, because i'm not going to wear them everyday. Are the monthly ones more comfortable than the daily ones? Each day I would wear the contacts about 15 hours.. do you think the disposable ones would last that long? I'm going to a fitting now.. to try on the contacts any tips? It's actually $1 dollar a day. I visited the place I'm going to.
does wearing a daily disposable contact lens on the next day is very harmful? ok suppose it's on the worst case scenario that i forgot to bring my new daily disposable contact lens to be worn on the next day, BUT i just thoroughly clean it with multi purpose solution or all-in one solution and soaked them overnight. would it still be safe to wear? i mean, does the content/materials used in the daily contact lens, monthly, and annual soft contact lens are different? pls advice thanks
Monthly vs. daily disposable contacts? I have monthly disposable contacts but I want dailies. Thing is that I just got new boxes of monthly ones (as well as a new fitting) and I don't want my eye doctor to get irritated by having to do a new fitting and give me a new prescription so soon. But anyway, which are better: monthly or daily disposable contacts?
Can you get a 2 weeks contact lens with daily disposable lens prescription? I recently got daily disposable contact lenses to wear them when I'm snowboarding. I wear glasses and I used to snowboard without glasses but my eye sights got worse(myopia -2.75, -3.00) and I can't see the bumps on the slope well at dusk. I'll use the contacts only when I'm snowboarding. So I got a disposable contact lens exam (1 day Acuvue) and it seems that the best price I could find on these was $18.50 a box. For 4 boxes (2 months), it comes out $74. They'll be enough for this winter and maybe winter. I haven't ordered yet. Then I found out from a hot deals website that you can buy 8 boxes of Acuvue Oasis (2 weeks disposable, 1 year's supply) for just $111.98. I was wondering if I could order it without getting a new contact lens prescription and another question is if I open one up, how long can it last if I used only once? Like if I open a pair and use one day on this Saturday then put them in a contact lens case, can I use them next Saturday? How long can I use like that? How many times?
Bridesmaid!!!Daily disposable contacts question?! URGENT!? I am 14 years old and i am one of my sisters bridesmaids tomorrow. I wear glasses but tomorrow i am wearing daily disposable contacts. The longest i have worn them yet is 10-11 hours. I will need to wear my contacts tomorrow for 17 hours min...Is this ok? I could bring another pair with me and change them after about 12 hours...but it would mean me having to take off all my makeup and put it back on again too. Please help!??!!!!!
How are daily disposable contacts made vs weekly or 30 day disposable contacts? I was just thinking, other than what the contacts are made out of, and maybe the thinness of the disposable contacts, how are they different? Sitting here comparing it to my 30+ year old regular soft contact to one of my current daily disposables, other than thickness, they pretty much look and feel the same. So what makes a daily disposable contact, different from the weekly or 30 day disposables? Googling so far only tells me how contacts in general are made. @Footprintz, yup I noticed that on 1800 contacts, about the material and water content. Also noticed that many of the dailies have higher moisture content than some of the 2 week and 30 day disposables. Which made me wonder, how other than materials they were different. But I think you answered that, with the wear time based on material they made of.
Daily disposable contacts while swimming? This is sort of a follow up from my last question. I plan on going to a water park sometime during the summer, but I wear glasses and would find it a nuisance to wear them on the trip. I've never worn contacts before but they sound like they'll be my best bet. I hear that you're not supposed to wear contacts in water because it makes you higher risk of getting an eye infection. But, what if I get the disposable kind and take them out at the end of the day? Would leaving them in for the entire day of swimming be too much? Should I switch them out half way through the day to be sure? I don't like going under water so if I'm under water at all it would only be from going under at the end of a water slide or something. And if you get water in your eyes.. how do you get it out while wearing contacts? (lol) Wouldn't they rub out? Also, how do I go about getting daily disposable contacts? You get them through a doctors prescription? Estimate on how much they cost? And how many sets do you get? That's a lot of questions! I'm really just wanting to be prepared though. Thanks for reading and for any help! :)
Are daily disposable contacts better for a preteen to use? My daughter is 12 and has been wearing contacts for about a year now. She hasn't had any complications with them, and she much prefers them to her glasses. The problem that we've had is that she's using 30 day disposable contacts, and they aren't lasting anywhere near 30 days. She's either dropping/losing or tearing them at a rate of going through a 6 month supply in 2-3 months. I understand that much of the problem is her age and that it's not as likely for a younger person to be as responsible with them as an adult would be. At the same time, it's frustrating to me to be buying contacts more frequently than I planned. Would it be a better option to just purchase the ones that are thrown away each day? In case it makes a difference, she does need a toric lens in one eye. I'll really appreciate any input that you guys have to offer, as well as your experience with the daily disposable contacts. I do plan to discuss all this with her optometrist at her next exam. I was just hoping for a little input ahead of time.
Can daily disposable contact lenses come out by rubbing my eye? I have only worn contacts (daily disposable) for less than a month, and today my left contact was irratating my eye a little and I rubbed my eye a few times, only around an hour ago i discovered the contact is not in my eye, could by me rubbing my eye the contact have come out without me noticing? Im slightly worried if it may still be in my eye somewhere :S
WHY doesn't everyone wear daily disposable contacts? The question sums it all up. Why don't ALL contact lens wearers wear the daily disposable contacts? From my experience, dailies are the safest and most convenient way of wearing contacts because you don't have to clean or store them everytime. And there's no risk of eye infections too because you take a fresh one out in the morning and throw it away later. And doing some research on the internet, I've also found out that dailies are the safest of all contacts since those so-called multi purpose solutions to clean other contacts aren't doing their job? I wear the Freshlook One-Day contacts and they are simply AWESOME. So, why doesn't everyone else wear dailies?
Will military insurance/tricare cover daily disposable contacts? I'm a dependent, so I figured they wouldn't cover lasik or PKR for me, so I was wondering if they would cover daily disposable contacts, which I've been using for years, or would they cover contacts at all? Trying to save money without having to use glasses everyday, thanks! I'd be willing to pay for my own contacts, I just wanted to know if they would cover any of the cost. No reason to be rude. I'm the same way, I hope my son doesn't my bad vision, but it doesn't really seem to run in my family so maybe I just got the bad straw. I can't really wear glasses during the day because when I carry my son around, he tears the glasses of my face and throws them on the floor, not fun!
How long can i wear daily disposable contact lenses for? I have daily disposable contact lenses and i want to know if i can wear them for more than one day. and if so, how long until they really become no use? 1 week, 2 weeks? i'm running out of contact lenses and my eye doctor appointment isn't until 2 weeks. Unless i can buy -1.75 contact lenses at a store, i want to use the one pair i have left for as long as i could.
How long can i over-wear daily disposable contact lenses for? I have daily disposable contact lenses and i want to know if i can wear them for more than one day. and if so, how long until they really become no use? 1 week, 2 weeks? i'm running out of contact lenses and my eye doctor appointment isn't until 2 weeks. Unless i can buy -1.75 contact lenses at a store, i want to use the one pair i have left for as long as i could.
How much more for daily disposable contact lenses? Im thinking about getting contact lenses again, but this time i'll be going for daily disposable ones. How much roughly woild these cost? Also i have an astigmatism in both eyes so i know that may increase the price. Any rough prices would be great. (£)
Can I get daily disposable contacts? I have monthly contact lenses but I hate having to clean them every night and to remember to buy new cases every month. (Plus, I'm a germaphobe). So, I want to switch to daily disposables but I've read that some prescriptions don't come in certain forms of contacts, which was a bit disappointing. Anyway, I am -7.00 in my left eye and -6.50 in my right eye. I also have astigmatism. Are there daily disposables with my numbers and condition? My dad is in the process of setting up an appointment for me but I'm just a little impatient and want to know the answer now haha.
Can you use daily disposable contacts for 2 days? I do a contact sport 3 days a week that requires me to have my contacts on because I am as blind as a bat but I hate using up 3 pairs of contacts a week because my contacts are daily disposables and I'm not allowed to get longer lasting ones yet. I wear my contacts for less than 3 hours when I do this sport. Does this mean I can wear 1 pair for 3 hours, take them off and use the same pair again for another 3 hours on a different day before I have to throw them out without damaging my eye?
Daily disposable contacts? Expenses? I want to get disposable contacts because I hate wearing glasses. How much would the cost be in total? Any additional information I need to know?
Does it Matter what way you put in daily disposable contact lenses? Does it Matter what way you put in daily disposable contact lenses? If the lenses folds up on your finger it’s hard to tell what was the original way, I’ve not noticed a difference when wearing them, but one of my friends says he finds his lenses really uncomfortable when he puts them in inside out (we both wear daily disposables).
Daily disposable contacts for astigmatism? Does anyone know of any good one-day disposable lenses for people with astigmatism? I know Focus Dailies makes toric lenses, but I heard that they really dry your eyes out and are harder to remove, so I was looking for something by Acuvue. I looked on their website, and I can't find any that are daily disposables (just the 2-week kinds). I heard that they do make 1-day Acuvue for Astigmatism in other countries, though. Do they not have them in America?
Can I wear daily disposable contact lenses? Hi, I wear monthly disposable contacts, Im going camping for 2 weeks and think that dailies would be more suitable. Is there any reason I shouldnt switch for a while? Thanks
Daily disposable eye contacts please ANSWER?!!? I have one really bad eye and one really good eye I need more contacts but there really exspensive and I have to wait till janurary so is there a way I can make the daily contacts last longer like the 2 week contacts? Instructions if yes and if no why thanks
Daily disposable contact lens - What to get? I have been wearing contact lens for the past 10 years or so. 21 this year. Main irritation due to dry eyes etc. Contact lens I've been wearing include Soflens 38 and 59. I wear them monthly as described by my optician (which when i checked online turns out to be fortnightly). I am thinking of changing to daily disposable lens. I have to wear them for about 14hours a day. Any good recommendations? Im currently looking at 1 Day Acuvue Moist but they are really expensive ;(
Daily disposable vs monthly disposable - which contacts do you prefer? This is one of those questions that no one can answer for me, so I'm gathering some opinions. Suppose someone wears monthly contacts, but wants to forgo all the cleaning of the contacts. They'd like to go to daily contacts, but they are expensive. What's a contact lens wearer to do? It basically comes down to a choice between cost and convenience, doesn't it? Are you willing to pay more for the convenience of wearing a pair of contact lenses for the day and then just throwing them away. Still, it's not really that big of a deal to clean your contacts. It's not like it takes two hours and a team of experts. Just a rub and a rinse and you're on your way. Any comments?
Theoretically, how many days can I wear daily disposable contact lenses? I know they are meant to be worn one day and then thrown away, but I generally don't even wear my contacts that often. I'm a competitive swimmer with terrible eyesight, and I usually have my glasses on, except when I am in the pool. I have my contacts on for 5 hours a day max, but it is usually more like 3 or 4. Can I save some money by treating these daily lenses as two week lenses? Or even one week? Obviously I would clean them every night like normal two week lenses..
Daily Disposable Contacts....by FRIDAY!? New pair in the morning, throw them out at night.... For those of you that have them, are they great? or not so. do they fall out easily? i have a contact eye exam tomorrow(monday) night and im hoping to be able to wear the contacts to a concert on friday! Do you think that i will be able to? or even have them by friday? whats your personal opinion on them.
HELP ME?! DAILY DISPOSABLE CONTACTS QUESTION!!!!!!? Ok well i am 14 and wear daily dispoasables. the most i have worn them for was 11 hours. But i am a bridesmaid at a wedding tomorrow and i need to wear them from 11:00am to maybe 2:00am the next morning. Is this possible? please help? i dont want to have to wear my glasses while being a bridesmaid!
Contact lenses? Can we safely reuse those daily disposable contact lenses? I wear contacts once or twice a week. I recently purchased a box of 1 day acuvue lenses. After wearing a pair for five hours, I take them off and, since they don't look cracked or torn I wonder why I can't just store them in a sterile solution and wear them again a couple of days later. What will happen if I do that?
Daily Disposable Contacts - Acuvue Moist/TruEye - 3 pairs - London? Hey, I have worn Acuvue Moists in the past, and currently wear Acuvue Oasys lenses. I don't want to buy a whole 30 days supply of the dailies, but I need 3 pairs for this weekend. Does anyone know where I can get them in -4.00 and -3.50? I was thinking of possible having another contact lens assessment for Acuvue TruEye and getting some trial lenses? Any other ideas? Thanks Thanks, but large places like Specsavers will only sell me a Monthly Supply for like £35. I only want 3 pairs!! Thanks Baby! ;) I've printed the Free Assessment and Trial for D&A, but the next problem is getting them by Friday... Do you know if many opticians will stock my prescription?
Does anyone get daily disposable contact lenses from Specsavers? I get them from here through lensmail . I've just opened them and they are using a different type, as the packaging has changed from blue to black and so have the actual lens 'pods'. They are now called ' opsys' The shop is shut now and I'm getting nothing from the net so can anyone tell me are they just re-branded or are they something new? OR have they sent me someone elses LOL.
Is it safe to wear my Acuvue Moist daily disposable contact lenses overnight? I am out of contact lenses until Monday and am currently wearing my last pair. Can I wear them overnight without any problems? I don't own a storage case for the lenses since I only wear daily disposables. I need them in tomorrow when I play a round of golf and wax my SUV. I will be wearing them overnight! Thanks!
Is it possible to clean, store and reuse daily disposable contact lenses? Don't worry, I'm not going to try it! I only ask because there's been times when I've stayed at a friends house after a night out, and luckily had spares lenses with me for the morning. If I hadn't had the spare lenses with me, I wonder if it would have been possible to store and reuse the daily disposables I was wearing, using her cleaning fluid and a spare lens case (she wears monthlies)?
Daily contacts or monthly? What's better? I have been buying the month long wear contact lenses for at least 5 years. I find that they feel gritty and cloudy no matter how much I clean them, after the first week. I am wondering how others have found the daily disposable contact lenses in comparison with the monthly contact lenses? Were they easier? Better? Cheaper? Not worth it? Definitely worth it? Please share your contact lens experiences with me!
Right now I have glasses and want to get contacts, I really need the daily disposable ones.? But I know in the beginning, it would be really hard to get usted to and every day I bearly make it to school on time. Does anyone think that I should get them this summer and start practicing, so I'll get better in time for next year or not do it and keep getting new precriptions for my glasses? P.S. Can anyone reccommend me a good brand that offers daily disposables, if they think that concacts would be ok? Thank you, very much everyone!
Are Daily contacts flimsy? So apparently I keep getting protein build ups in my eyes, so my doctor wants to switch me to daily disposable contacts. And, I was wondering if those are flimsier than the 2 week contacts. Can they rip or tear in your eye if you wear them too long? Up to how many hours can you wear them?
Is it okay to sleep in daily disposables? I've had daily disposable contacts for about a month, I have them to prevent infection because I've had this form of uveitis for about four years, and it just recently became inactive and I finally got the okay to get contacts, but last night I accidentally fell asleep in them. I was wondering if just one time was okay.
Daily contacts question? Can I wear my daily disposable contact lenses for, lets say, a few hours, then take them out and store them in solution, and then go back to wearing them in the same day? Has anyone done this? Heard of this?
How long can you use 2 weeks disposable contact lenses if you use only once per week? I recently got daily disposable contact lenses to wear them when I'm snowboarding. I wear glasses and I used to snowboard without glasses but my eye sights got worse(myopia -2.75, -3.00) and I can't see the bumps on the slope well at dusk. I'll use the contacts only when I'm snowboarding. So I got a disposable contact lens exam (1 day Acuvue) and it seems that the best price I could find on these are $18.50 a box.
How long will my contacts last? I unfortunately only have one pair of daily disposable contacts left. This has never happened before. However, I do have the solution and the casing for non daily disposable contacts. If I take out and reuse these last contacts each day, how long (how many days) will these contacts last if I keep reusing them considering they are daily disposables?
Daily disposable contact lenses question? Hi, tomorow i want to wear my contacts all day, however i find after 8 hours my lenses start to become noticable within my eyes, is that because the lenses has dried up or because my lenses have become dry? if the reason is they become dry i will jsut pack an extra pair so i can change them half way through the day. Thanks Sorry i meant my eyes aren't getting enough oxygen or dry lenses
Daily Disposable Contact Lenses Questions? Hey, I usually wear my contact lenses on a night out with the lads. I usually put them in at like 5pm and go out drinking but god knows where I'll end up. I have not done so yet but I was just wondering if it's ok to fall asleep with your lenses in as I'll probably end up forgeting to take them out. Thanks. p.s I'm going on holiday to Ibiza soon for a week and I despertly need my lenses over there but since there daily and shipped to myhome in the UK how can i get them over to Ibiza? Should I just not go a few days wearing them so I can collect them all and bring them on holiday with me. Also, are daily disposables more comfortable than monthly ones? Thanks. So you kept your contacts in for 2 weeks without taking them out :S jees.
Daily disposable coloured contact lenses? Does anyone know if there are any good disposable coloured lenses available anywhere? The only ones I can find are the Freshlook 1 Day Colours, but these only come in 4 colour choices, and the colours are very very faint - they don't make a big lot of difference to be honest. Any other ones I've seen are monthly disposable, and although there's a lot more choice there and the colours seem to be a lot stronger, I don't wear my contacts often enough to make these worth while. I only wear them once in a while, so the 1 day disposables are definitely the ones to go for, for me. When you open the monthly ones, you have to throw them out after 30 days, so it's not worth me spending the money on them. Any suggestions really appreciated. I've done extensive searching on the internet, but can't find any others anywhere. For info, I'm in the UK, and would prefer lenses that can be done with a prescription - but if there are non-prescription daily disposables out there then I'd be happy with them too. Many thanks.
Can I wear daily contacts while "swimming"? Every Monday evening I go swimming with my mates and we play like basketball rugby in the shallow end. I don't know whether to wear my contact lenses (daily disposables) though because without them I can't see who is on my team and although I have prescription goggles no-one wears goggles. We mainly stay above the water only when there is the odd hard tackle. So far I have been taking them out but then once we have finished we watch skins and I would like to be able to see the tv. What do you think I should do.
Daily disposable contact lenses? Does the price varies for your eye degrees for daily disposable contact lenses w/o the astima thingy? Or is the price the same regardless of your eye degrees? I have never worn contact lenses before but i was told by an optican that the cheapest daily disposable contact lenses i can get is FreshKon at 2 boxes (15 pairs per box) for only $57. (In Singapore) I doubt the price for a bit because its too cheap my friend bought other brands for like $90 at 2 boxes! I asked and he said it includes Eyetest. Oh yes and the purpose of this question is that I have only saved up to $70+ so i was afraid that if the Freshkon is going to charge me higher for having higher degrees or some eyetest problem
Daily disposable contacts? I'm 15 and often find myself staying at friend's houses without intentionally planning ahead. This always means that I don't have spare contact lenses with me. I try to put spare contacts in all of my bags etc.. But this doesn't seem to be working especially if I find myself staying for a few days! My question is which is better 1) to keep my daily disposables in overnight and sleep with them in or 2) put them in contact lens solution for the night and put the back in in the morning (most of my friends wear contacts so they have lotion I can use). I understand both options are far from ideal but I am just wondering which is better! I wear Acuvue Moist 1 Day lenses if that's of any help! Thanks all help appreciated Thoughts on this article? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-357082/Contact-lens-firms-ripping-off.html
Daily Disposable vs. Monthly Disposable Contact Lenses? I've been using monthly disposable for a while and felt that they were very comfortable (for the first few days of the month) and then they got scratchy. I switched to daily disposable (for the flexibility) and find them to be much more uncomfortable. Is it because I have not gotten used to wearing them, or is it because the material is more cheap? Thanks
If you have corneal neovascularization, which is better - gas permeable contact lenses or disposable lenses? I am not sure which offers my eyes more oxgen - gas permable lenses or the newer, thinner disposable daily contact lenses. An optician at an eyeglass store sold me the disposables, but I am worried that his medical advice was biased by the sale. In the past, I have been told that gas permeables are the best for corneal neovascularization. The optician told me that things have changed with the evolution of the dispoable lenses. Any unbiased help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!
Daily disposable or continuous wear contact lenses? I don't know which to get, I had the monthly ones that you have to clean, but I wasn't too keen on them. I want either the daily ones so I don't need to clean them, or the continuous wear ones so I can just forget about them, but as I haven't tried either of these, I don't know which would be best. I'm inclined to go with the continuous wear ones because they are a bit cheaper...
leaving in daily contacts? well I'm a relatively new contacts user. i ahve used contacs roughly about 3 times. i usually have trouble putting in and removing my disposable daily contacts. tonight i attempted to remove my contacts, i successfully removed my left contact, and i either dislodged my right contact or it fell out of my eye unnoticed. worst case scenario, the contact may still be in my eye, but not on my pupil wat is the worse that can happen? if i left it it overnight etc or will i eventually find it/feel it just from having it in my eye too long? I've been searching and searching all around my eye for the contact but cant seem to find/feel it, to the point where my eye is semi irritated form poking around etc
What do I do with my contacts? I bought several boxes of daily, disposable contacts, then my prescription changed and I still had many left over. Then now I'm suffering from severe dry eye, and have been advised not to wear contacts any more. I have lots of unopened ones, some very expensive too. What should I do with them? I already tried and I can't get a refund. The ones in the box are past the refund date, and the ones outsie the box are unopened but cannot be returned beacause the box is open. The contacts are still sealed
What does my contact lense prescription mean please? Today i had an eye test so i can get daily disposable contact lenses. When i left i was given a card with these details: Right: -1.25 (SPH) -0.25 (CYL) 180.0 (Axis) Left: -1.25 (SPH) -0.25 (CYL) 180.0 (AXIS) So what do these numbers mean? Also I was lookin at contact lenses online and found that many places ask for power, diameter and base size, etc How do i use my prescription to get contacts? Thanks for help
Can you wear daily contact lenses for two days? I have Acuvue Daily Disposable Contact Lenses, and I wear them most days. I am 14 years old. Is it ok to wear the lenses for a day, then take them out overnight and put them in saline so they dont dry out, then put them back in again the next day? I know you are not meant to do this, but i have lost my glasses and have not a lot of lenses!! Will it be ok, if i am careful to keep the lenses clean? And also, if i dont wear them for like 24 hours one day, could i possibly get away with wearing them for 3 days??
Is there really a difference between the 1 day contact lenses and the 2 week ones? I bought the daily disposable contact lenses. You are supposed to wear them once and toss them. Prior to these, I had the ones where you wore them for up to two weeks, taking them out and cleaning them at night. Is there really a difference between the dailys and the two week contacts? Can I use the daily ones for a day, take them out and wash/store them and wear them the next day?
Should I wear my contacts before an eye exam? I have been told in the past that I would need to wear my contacts for at least three hours before I went in for an eye exam. At my last exam, the doctor was upset when I had reinserted lenses within that time period after I had some irritation, and refused to give me a new prescription. I have an exam tomorrow with a new OD, and the receptionist told me that there is no requirement for me to wear my contacts at all prior to the exam. I am only an occassional contact wearer who wears daily-wear disposable soft contacts; she said they normally only ask those with rigid gas-permeable lenses to _not_ wear them for a few _days_ prior. She also didn't seem confident in her answer, and she didn't seem to think it was an issue either way. What do you think?
I am unsufe if my contacts are daily wear or extended wear? I started wearing disposable contact lens...for some reason i thought they were extended wear, but i am unsure and am dumb for not consulting my eye doctor...anyway I slept in them, sometimes even 3-4 days in a row before taking them out...They did not seem uncomfortable though when I did this which led me to believe they were extended wear, and it was a HUGE difference from my other ones that i had which weren't disposable, in which even if i slept ONE night in them, i would wake up very uncomfortable and blurry...but these disposables feel perfectly comfortable for days without taking them out...I am aware that wearing certain contacts overnigt can cause problems like corneal ulcers....so i just wanted to see if anyone knows if theres a difference in comfort feeling after overnight wear between daily lenses and extended wear lenses....Thanks!
