Dailies Contact Lenses

I'm getting some daily disposable contacts and were wondering whether anybody rated the specsavers easyvision

I want to get some contact lenses and am about to choose the specsavers easyvision but was wondering whether anybody has had any experience with these or think any other ranges from any different opticians are good??

  1. Hi, I used to have the specsavers brand (I don't think they were called easy vision back then but I'm not sure). After a while they become uncomfortable so they then gave me Johnson's 1 day acuvue and they are fab. Its like immediately I could feel the moisture, they are so much more comfortable and they were the same price as the specsavers ones. If you haven't had contact's before they should give you a few different brands to try. My mum has focus dailies which she likes. Each contact lens brand can have a slightly different diameter, which doesn't change for each person, it is set like that. So when the optician recommends contacts they have to recommend one that would fit the size of your eye. this might be why they have suggested easy vision, as its your size. However, I would definitely ask for a free trial for a couple of brands and see which you prefer.
  2. I have worn the specsavers daily contacts for over three years now and have had no problems with them. They are good value for money and easy and hygienic to wear. The advantage about Specsavers is that if you happen to tear a lens (If you are a bit heavy handed getting them out of the packet!!), they will replace them at no extra cost. Just pop into your local shop. If you sign up to their monthly direct debit plan, they will automatically deliver your lenses to you (again, no extra cost) every three months. Just a point to note, they give you six boxes containing 15 pairs in each. If you have a three month period where there are months with 31 days, you will be short. However, again pop into your local shop and they will give you the extras for free. Highly recommended.
  3. I use the acuvue dailies and love them. I treid the specsavers easyvision for a while and they where ok, but i found that for prolonged use (ie over 8hrs a day) the thinner acuvue where better. Specsavers usually give you the opportunity to try few days for free, and if you dont like them try another brand and then you can decide.
  4. Sorry never tried them.
