1. Obviously they screwed it up on someone, hence the release form.
2. as with all forms of surgery, there is risk. they could overcorrect and badly damage your vision. highly uncommon, but it is a risk that must be considered. don't do optical surgery on the cheap
3. Once corrected, your vision will continue to degrade at the same rate as it dropped prior to your surgery. This is why we recommend waiting until your eyes have not changed script for several years. There is also a very slight risk that the eye may be damaged during the procedure, however I have never met a single patient affected by this. It is very rare.

7. In a one word answer 'Yes ' Laser eye surgery reshapes the front of your cornea to correct vision. However as you age your eye structure changes,this alters how the light entering your eye is bent and hence alters the sharpness of your vision. If you have laser eye surgery it will (hopefully) correct your vision at that time,but it cannot correct future changes in your eyes which will occur. Also if you have laser eye surgery to correct your distance vision now, then in the future (age mid 40s plus ) you will definitely need reading glasses (or a further procedure such as CK)
