Does anyone know how old you have to be to have laser eye surgery in the uk?
i am 16 and have terrible eye sight. i wear glasses and contact lenses when i go out, but i hate putting them in all the time. does anyone know how old you have to be to get laser eye surgery?

- The Age limit is 21, it also depends what type of laser it is 27 is often regarded as lower limit for PRK and 21 for Lasik .
- The thing is, you are still growing and your eyes are still changing. For laser surgery, your prescription has to have remained stable for 2 years, or close to it, and that normally doesn't happen until the mid 20's when your main growth is finished. So, even at 21, you may not be a suitable candidate yet.
