- i believe as long as you have 20/20 vision then sure
- Nope. Laser eye surgery does not count as 20/20. And they do know if you have had it. You can't lie. They do accept x amount of people with 20/20 vision- a very small percentage. Navy also accepts a small amount of people with 20/20 vision. USMC and USCG are the same. Edit: I meant to say each branch accpets a small number of Laser surgery applicants.
- Yes, depending upon what type of surgery, who performed it, and the result. They will even pay for the procedure.
- Yes you can. We take a small percentage each year and the number varies based on number of slots vs. number of qualified applicants.
- Yes you can and I'm proof. However you have to get what's called a Flying Class I waiver. You'll receive this waiver from Brooks AFB during Medical Flight Screening (MFS) once you're selected for pilot training. There is a long process to it all and I highly suggest doing more research before you go and find the closest optometrist to get it done. Try the websites below to start. Good luck!
