Daily disposable contacts?
I'm 15 and often find myself staying at friend's houses without intentionally planning ahead. This always means that I don't have spare contact lenses with me. I try to put spare contacts in all of my bags etc.. But this doesn't seem to be working especially if I find myself staying for a few days! My question is which is better 1) to keep my daily disposables in overnight and sleep with them in or 2) put them in contact lens solution for the night and put the back in in the morning (most of my friends wear contacts so they have lotion I can use). I understand both options are far from ideal but I am just wondering which is better! I wear Acuvue Moist 1 Day lenses if that's of any help! Thanks all help appreciated Thoughts on this article? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-357082/Contact-lens-firms-ripping-off.html

- To be honest I wouldn't do either. They are called daily disposable for a reason and continuous wear will more than likely damage your eyes, which in the long run could stop you from being able to wear lenses and you may have to stick with glasses in the future. Why dont you speak to your optician and change to the monthly disposable lenses? I use these and when I stay out I take the solution and the plastic pot with me so I can SAFELY re-wear them the next day. My mums boyfriend used to wear lenses and didnt look after them properly and now he has these hideous bi-focal glasses about 5cm thick! Haha so if you want to be able to wear lenses in the future I would advise you to look after your eyes as best you can!!
- I personally wear boush and lomb and have the kind you can accually sleep in for a few days. I have had the daily wearables and it's fine to put them in solution and wear them a second or even a third day. Just be careful. If your eyes seem to get irritaded then you should take them out. everyone's eyes are different, you'll just have to see how yours will react.
- I shouldnt tell you this but use the 2nd option because you can TECHNICALLY treat the one day a/v moist lens as a 2 week A/V lens because it uses same material so hush hush and always dispose your daily lens for a new pair every day.
