Dailies Contact Lenses

Do you need a solution if you buy disposable contact lenses (ones you throw out everyday)?

I read somwhere that if you buy disposable contacts (replace everyday), you don't need to mess around with solution? is that true? and which ones are better, disposable or the ones where yu wear them for periods of time? I've never worn contacts before just glasses, so it's a totally new thing for me
