Why do disposable contact lenses only last a day?
Is there any way to make them last longer, and how much longer?

- My disposable contacts last me 2 weeks. My brother wears some that last him a month. Why - because protein builds up on them. When that happens you're more likely to get eye infections. Don't want to put something covered in bacteria into your eye!!!
- they're DISPOSABLE, they aren't going to last you very long
- I have 2 week disposables that I wear for 3 weeks... lol. No eye infections yet!
- buy other brands. mine last for a month. its ridiculous to wear em in a day. such a waste.
- You can feel it if the proteins and bacteria have built up too much... it feels scratchy or like you have something in your eye (like when it's windy and a piece of dust got in your eye). Time to throw them away. Also, pay attention to the whites of your eyes. If they start to look red, irritated, or slightly yellow, then you're in trouble! Honestly I wouldn't use the contacts too long passed when you're supposed to because you will get an infection and end up having to wear your glasses for a couple of weeks and buy expensive drops (depending on how good your insurance is) to clear up said infection...
