What happens if you use a ripped contact lens?

One of the edges on my contact lens are ripped and I put it back in my eye and it hurt whenever I blink. So, I removed it and my eye got irritated and swollen the next day. What should I do?

1. Go and see an optician! Or at least your nearest pharmacy and ask for advice.
2. 1. Stop using it. The ripped part WILL hurt your eye. 2. Get a replacement.
3. Don't use it again. Your eye is probably irritated because of the contact. Avoid using contacts until your eye starts to feel better. If the irritation gets worst, go to your OP and make sure you didn't damage your cornea.
