Why is it so hard for me to focus on the positive instead of the negetive?
I tend to look at the dark side of everything. I am fully aware of what I'm doing, but it's so built into me that it it so hard to change. What are some exercises I could do on a daily basis that will make me focus on the good side of life?

- Just think about good things in your life more and then after awhile you will start to think on the good side of life. But having negative thoughts IS normal. it is hard for everyone to think only on the positive.
- Remember when our mothers said "If you don't have anything good to say, just don't say anything." ?
- I have exactly the same problem and just a week ago i met with a therapist to help me out with this sort of attitude though that wasn't quite helpful. Just keep reminding yourself of the positive things which happened to you in your life. I have achieved a lot and i believe, people like me are who started from zero and now touching the heights are very rare but still i am negative thinker. :( So don't worry its the problem of many people and always keep in mind that this world is very short and you would love to do more crazy things. Just want to tell you one thing, most of the great people in the world were negative thinkers, yes, they used to think negative and hardly trust anyone else except themselves. For reference, watch the movie "A beautiful mind" about the life of Jhon nash who was great mathematician of his time but he used to think negative and had number of problems with his attitude.
