How long can I wear contact lens without hurting my eyes?

Is it safe to wear contact lens(30D) each day and between 10-15 hours? Or should I only wear them for a short period of them everyday? It's the first time I tried contact lens and my eyes were slightly red after 9-10 hours.

1. I don't care what type of contacts you have, wear them 10 to 15 hours and you will watch your tolerance decrease every day until you won't be able to wear them anymore. Do you want to wear them for years like I did until I received new eyes? Wear them only 8 hours a day, no longer. Be sure your hands are completely clean when you put them in and take them out. Watch out for high winds that can get dirt under the contacts. Sun glasses should be used. Carry a pair of regular glasses if your eyes start to bother you. Watch out for reactions to allergic situations. And finally, screw up and you can damage your corneas, (may not heal for a year), or even cause blindness!
