How is a contact lens exam different than a regular eye exam?
I scheduled and paid for a contact lens exam. After the exam, the doctor told me my vision 20/whatever, and asked if I wanted to look at frames that day. I said, "actually, I'm here to get contacts." He said, "oh, you want contacts?" There were no other tests. I just waited and a lady came in and watched me out a pair in and take them out. Should there have been more or different tests?

- yeah, they gotta blow that little puff of air in you eyes. i think it measures your eye so you get the right size and curvature of contact lens.
- An eye exam is an eye exam. There is no different exam. All you did was get some different eyewear. And Joe Dollar is wrong. The "little puff" is to dialate your eyes to check them for glaucoma (it has nothing to do with contacts).
- No, the doctor probably had all the information needed to proceed to a trial fitting. He already measured the size and shape of the cornea.
