Report: Beckham might return to England. wow look like not even beckham the great can save the galaxy.?
David Beckham may be going back to England — at least temporarily. The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder is seeking to discuss with team officials a possible return to England on loan in January, according to the London Daily Express. Beckham reportedly would like to return home for four months leading up to the 2008 European Championships next June and is believed to be prepared to sacrifice some of his reported $250 million contract with MLS. Beckham has said that one of his career ambitions is to earn 100 caps as a member of England's national team. He currently has 97. His initial MLS season has been a disappointment due to injuries and the Galaxy's miserable record. He is currently sidelined by a strained right knee ligament and is unlikely to play again this season. The Galaxy, dead last in the MLS standings at 3-11-5, might be willing to let Beckham return home temporarily when their season ends Oct. 21.

- wow.....................
- We don't want him back, I'm afraid to say. You Septics can keep him - and his wife, thank you very much.
- um ok, AEG never said they were going to get in the way of his obligation to play for his country in the first place, so this is hardly news. Of course he is going to play for England; no one other than McClaren is going to tell him no. Plus those 4 months are part of the MLS off-season, so he can either relax in LA or stay in London. I don't understand how you expect an injured player to save a team that was almost in last place prior to his arrival.
- beckham the great please hes not that good to begin with
- Good I hope he and his wife goes back. All the hype was for nothing. When will people realize that he's old, so that means he'll be getting injured easier. He should just retire now, and go out on top (even though it might be too late now that he's gone to the lowest form of football: MLS).
- I agree with E C. Plus, Beckham's been with LA Galaxy for only 8 weeks since his arrival on July 12 and he's been injured most of the time. That's not enough time to save any team that wasn't doing too well to begin with. During the FSC Football Phone-in show interview, Lalas said he has only trained with the Galaxy team twice. Beckham still needs more training time with Galaxy to be able to help them team consistently perform well.
- he should never of left!
