Daily disposable contacts? Expenses?
I want to get disposable contacts because I hate wearing glasses. How much would the cost be in total? Any additional information I need to know?

- About as much as your cell phone charges, generally.
- The cost for dailies vs. weeklies vs. monthlies usually ends up about the same at the end of the year. Keep in mind, though, that you may be able to get cheaper contacts (once you have your prescription) by going to a Wal-Mart Vision Center or at 1800contacts.com than you will at your eye doctor's.
- They will cost from $1.00 to $1.25 per lens per day. Because of the cost they tend to be used in problem cases. You can't sleep in them or reuse them. You wear them once then throw them away.
- I don't know how Amy counts , but there is a huge difference in price from Daily wear, to 2 week wear, to monthly wear over a year. Daily's will cost a minimum of $ 320.00 for a year 2 week lenses about $ 160.00 + $60.00 for solutions, = $ 220.00 Monthly , = about $ 120.00 + 60.00 for solutions = $ 180.00 I got these prices with different brands at 1800contacts. So as you see, Dailies cost almost double of the monthlies over a year., and $ 100.00 more than 2 week lenses.
