Is there a better way to say "Every other day".?

I am applying for a job and want to say I attend physical training sessions every other day. Is there a more professional way to say "every other day"? I was thinking Bi-daily or Semi-Daily but can't find those words defined anywhere and I'm not even sure they are real words. Please don't answer if you don't know. Thanks.

  1. Four times a week???
  2. bi-daily means twice a day...and it's not a real word try "on alternating days" or "three times a week"
  3. Unless your prospective employer is an unreasonable stickler for hyperbolic sesquepedalianism, the way that you're saying it is absolutely fine. You don't have to swallow a thesaurus to land a job, unless it's a job with a thesaurus maker. The easiest way to make an impression is to be yourself, and be happy with it. Dressing it up in too many long words (sesquepedalianism, incidentally) impresses nobody. So keep it as simple as you can. Since there are only 7 days in a week, just say, as a questioner above suggests, that you go to the gym 4 days a week. They'll be able to work out that this means you go on alternate / alternative days, as another questioner suggested. As to making it sound 'professional'? The most professional way to communicate is the one that gets your message across quickest. Good luck with the interview. I'm sure they'll value your attention to detail and your commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
  4. "bi-daily" and "semi-daily" are not words. If you are writing this information, simply say "on alternating days." This means every other day. If you are providing this information in an interview, i.e., speaking, simply give the actual day names (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday."
