- I am an American eye Dr. that lives in Mansoura. Just like your brother and sister, if you are a good candidate for the op, then it is good. At -1.50, you don't have a strong enough correction, (according to most American standards) to have it done. We usually consider -2.00 through -7.00 reasonable candidates. If you have a good MD here and he says its ok, then do it. Nothing to be scared of, provided you have a skilled MD to perform the surgery. Do remember though, in about 7 years, the vision can return to a state that will require a correction and you will have to decide whether to do it again, or not. Good luck.
- my aunt got it and she said its amazing my mom is thinking about getting im most likely going to get it but i have to wait until im in my 20's im really scared though
- I haven't done it but Ive seen the process and don't be afraid at all. It doesn't hurt one bit. The doctors do it 20,000 times a day (depends on where you live) so they know what theyre doing. Besides in the long run your eyes will be much better.
