Is it possible to loose a contact lens in your eye?
I was rubbing my eye pretty hard with my contact in when I felt it move out of place in my eye. I ran to the bathroom to pull it out, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I can feel something in the back of my eye socket beyond reach, but I'm not sure if it's the contact lens or just irritation from rubbing it. Is it possible that the lens could have gotten pushed to the back of my eye and if so, how can I remove it?

- You can't lose it, but from experiance, I know it can be rather annoying to get it to work it's way out. Usually a few minutes of blinking and fidgeting with my eyelids corrects the problem. But, beware, your contact may fall out when it works its way out.
- YES! that happened to me. i had to go to the ER so they could get it out. not fun, but they told me i could have lost my sight if i didn't get it out. call asap
- you can't lose a contact in your eye.. no place for it to go other than the way you put it in.. it might have folded and is sitting towards the back of the eye.. if it's back there, it feels like a rock and it is hard to blink or move your eye.. rinse the eye with copiuos amounts of saline solution to 'float' it out.. this has happened to me on more than one occasion and irrigated the eye produced a folded, mangled contact.. it might have even fallen out by rubbing it and your eye is very irritated.. hope this helps..
- it will eventually roll back to the front of your eye normally it happens you go to sleep and wake up in the morning it should back to the front if not you need to go to the eye doctor
- just roll your eye around looking in all dirctions and it will come out. You can'tt loose it behind you eye. If you panic it makes it worse I think anyone that wears contacts have been throw this. Keep squrting saline in ur eye and moving ur eye around and you will get it
- According to the doctors, no that is not possible. The lens may roll towards the top, when that happens, flush your eyes with drops. Other than that you may have rubbed it out.
