- I wear contacts also! And yes. If you wear your contacts to long after three months you may have to undergo serious surgeries that involve cleaning infections in the eye. But, you can wear them like a week after.
- Gee, I wonder why the directions for that lens call it a 3 month disposable if it is meant to be worn longer ? Every day you use it past the recommended time is increasing your chances of developing problems. You are creating an unnecessary risk. Why do contact lens wearers have so darn much trouble following instructions that are in place for their own health and safety.
- What REALLY happens when you wear contact lenses longer than recommended? Your contacts will will get coated with germs and protein, your eyes will get red and irritated, and you'll have to wear glasses until your eyes feel better. Worst Case You'll develop an infectious corneal ulcer that may lead to scar tissue which can lead to vision loss, and even blindness. Symptoms of an infectious corneal ulcer include squinting, redness, pain, tearing, and small pupil size. Cleaning and disinfecting disposable contacts won't make a difference. After you've worn them for the recommended time period, they're done.
- There's a reason it states only 3 months. Wearing them longer could give you a eye infection or ulcer that could lead to blindness so don't be so cheap & buy new contacts.
