Contact lens?
Can anyone please tell me a little bit more about contact lens? What are their ups and downs? Any thing about contact lens would be great because I am considering getting some.

- I wear the 30 day contacts and love them! No worries about keeping up with glasses, it's great being able to wake up and see the world. The only down side would be the first try in putting them in, it's not easy but with time and practice it gets very easy. I have to, on ocassion, use rewetting drops but other than that there is nothing to do....
- The most serious safety concern with any contact lens is related to overnight use. Extended-wear (overnight) contact lenses--rigid or soft--increase the risk of corneal ulcers, infection-caused eruptions on the cornea that can lead to blindness. Symptoms include vision changes, eye redness, eye discomfort or pain, and excessive tearing. The risk of corneal ulcers for people who keep extended-wear lenses in overnight is 10 to 15 times greater than for those who use daily-wear lenses only while awakeSoft lenses are much more comfortable than rigid lenses, thanks to their ability to conform to the eye and absorb and hold water. You can get used to soft lenses within days, compared with several weeks for rigid. An added benefit is that soft lenses aren't as likely as rigid lenses to pop out or capture foreign material like dust underneath. Extra-thin soft lenses are available for very sensitive people. Rigid lenses generally give clearer vision. They can be marked to show which lens is for which eye. They don't rip or tear, so they're easy to handle.
- contact lens nees lor of care like your eye should not water(dont cry),dontsqeeze your eyes. people say it also a kind of new diease wear spectacles//////
- well, i recently got acuve hyraclear lenses, and contact lenses are really good because (after 5 hours of practice putting them in and taking them out ) its not so hard geting them in and taking them hard and it doesn't hurt but u might get alittle teary at first. but the thing is, if you have work or school or whatever in the morning you might have trouble getting them in in time so try to wake up alittle earlier and once u get used to it u can stop because by then it'll take u like 5 sec 2 get them in. It's also kinda hard cuz with glasses, u can just take them off without having to run to the bathroom and when going 2 sleep it doesn't matter if you go to sleep with them on. but with contacts it does matter because i think your eyes don't get enough oxygen. also when u first get them you hav 2 be sure to not where them 4 over 10 hours a day for like a month because it takes your eyes alittle while to adjust to them and get used to alittle less oxygen. If your someone who loses things easily, i dont recommend them because they are really really easy to lose and way harder to find because they're clear (unless you get colored contacts but still its hard). thats all i can think of right now. but overall they're great!
