What if I use annual contact Lens more than one year?

I am using contact lens from last one year, recently i purchase 1 pair of contact lens because that was annual lens, I just wanna know what happen if i use old lens on occasionally.

1. well we shouldnt use it actually because it has a time limit given by the Optometrist.and they are made such that may be something will happen to them in this time period so i advice not to use them because some eyes are sensitive and that it has an expiry date but actually one thing ill tell you MY EXPERIENCE i have bought 6 pairs each of one month but after opening i use one pair for around 4-5 months because i use it only on occasions i use it once or twice a month and u cant believe the one i have write now it has limit of one month but i have opened it in october 2009 and i use it now also the same one its feb 2010 wen i go to some other country for visit i then open a new one because i donno what kind of weather or what kind of wind blows there so prevent eye infection.i take risk!!!!heheheh
