- glasses are hot, wear those instead <3
- I say try them, they are pretty easy when u get the hang of it and they cost about as much as a pair of glasses. And you can see better and have less obstructions!
- they are not expensive.....I just bought a years worth for $107.....just make sure to take them out every night.....your eyes need oxygen...I hate glasses, they slip or sweat gets on them, always having to wipe them, plus they hurt my nose and ears
- contact lenses are absolutely safe to wear dear.... whatever is ur eye power u can get lenses suitable for that with ur desired colour...... its not that expensive.... most reliable ones start from 2000 rupees...... the only safety measure u have to take with them is that u have to be careful if ur wearing them in some bbq party or situations where ur eyes are in a closer distance to fire.... because chances are that contact lenses melt sometimes to excess fire heat....
- it's easier to use but it's expensive and dangerous can blinded you, irritate your eye causing pink eye or sore eyes not everyone can use this stuff u may be allergic to the substance it is made of(just for an example Rebecca Romijin-Stamos of xmen only wears her contacts she uses in her mystique's scenes for one hour only because her eyes would be irritated terribly if she wears it longer than an hour)
- why
- Click on this link: http://mayoclinic.com/health/contact-lenses/WL00010 That site pretty much tackles what you should know about contact lenses.
- i know how it feels I'm a girl and I'm 17 and i have been wearing lenses for more than a year now. it feels better and they r not expansive they can hurt sometimes if the weather is dusty, u have to be careful when u wash ur face while wearing them, and if u decide to wear them BE CAREFUL of fire, dint wear them when u go to the hairdresser they could melt in ur eye and get blinded, other than that they r safe....u just have to take them off when u go to sleep and clean them when u wear them and take them off, and ur doctor will tell u if u r allergic to them or not and what kind u need, so hope i helped and good luck :) PS...glasses r cool.
- Contacts are totally safe for your eyes. Its when people over wear the lenses that causes the problems. If you take care of the lenses and don't abuse them, there is no reason why you shouldn't be successful with them. They shouldn't be slept in. Yes, they make lenses that are approved for that, but that increases your risk of infection. If you do get lenses that are approved for overnight wear, its important that you still take them out a few times a week and let your eye breathe. I've found that when people wear their lenses overnight, its too easy for them to remember to take them out at all and that's when they end up with infections and blood vessels growing across their corneas. If you take the lenses out at night, you will cut your risk of infection and complications. Also, contacts should NEVER EVER be worn in the shower or while swimming. There are nasty amoebas and germs in the water that can cause very nasty infections that can lead to blindness in the most severe cases. Plus, contact lenses can wash out and I can pretty much guarantee that if that happens, you'll never find them! So contacts do have their limitations, but the benefits far out-weigh those limitations. Even if you do get contacts, you will still need a back-up pair of glasses just in case you cannot wear your lenses either because of an infection or because you've lost them. So please don't be one of those patients that wears contacts and NO glasses to wear. These are the people who call our office in a panic because they have lost of ripped their lenses and they can't see...and then it becomes OUR problem because they don't have a pair of glasses - even though we TOLD them they should get them. So do yourself and your eye doctor's office a favor and get an inexpensive, but stylish pair of glasses - JUST IN CASE!!! If you want colored contacts, they are more expensive than just clear lenses. For disposable contacts, they run about $50/box of 6 and if your RX is not the same for each eye you'd need a box for the right, and a box for the left. Each pair of lenses is good for 2 weeks, so it would cost you $100 every 12 weeks. People generally need 8 boxes in a year's time...that's $400/yr just to have colored lenses and personally, I think they look extremely fake. I don't think having colored contacts makes anyone appear more attractive...it makes them appear fake, and vain. But that's just one Optician's opinion...
- 50 degree and 100 degree are very light short-sighted. why not wearing glasses when you really need them, like driving? Regarding the prices, you can go online to check. http://www.lenscompare.com
