Swimming with Daily disposable soft contacts with goggles?
I will be wearing goggles( 5 buck ones from wal mart, nothing special), and I will throw them out right after, but I hear that chlorine can get stuck between your contact and eye and give you infections or diseases(this is in a indoor swimming pool) Is it safe?

- You should be ok as long as you wear the goggles while you are swimming. Just be more careful to prevent pool water getting into your eye. There usually isn't a problem wearing contacts while swimming but bacteria and other nasties can cause damage to your eyes plus the water can change the way your lenses fit which can cause eye problems too.
- My mum is an optometrist and I wear glasses/contacts and have swimming for a team for a very long time and I can't tell you how many times she's stressed to me not to wear my contacts in the pool. You probably already know this but water can easily seep into your goggles. The water in the pools has a lot of viruses and bacteria that can get stuck behind your contact, especially indoor pools where young kids and families may be swimming (remember, the chlorine doesn't kill it all). This gives them time to grow and enter your eye because the eye's cleaning mechanism is hindered while wearing contacts (which is why your eyes may get dry while wearing them). So essentially it is not safe. If you want to risk it, go ahead, because a lot of people do it anyway and nothing happens to them, but I'd like to tell you it's better to be safe than sorry!
