Can I soak my contact lens using a Contact Lens Lubricant instead of a Contact Lens Solution?

I don't have Contact Lens Solution left so I asked my mother to buy me a bottle. She gave me a Lens Lubricant instead of a Contact Lens Solution. I don't have anything to soak my contact lens in so I had to use the Lubricant. So is it bad to use the lubricant as a soaking medium for the contact lens?

1. It's ok to soak them in if you are stuck for awhile , BUT that isn't going to clean or disinfect them. You have to get the real thing, there are no substitutes.
