How much does reliable laser eye surgery cost?
Alright, I'm 15 and i figured id start saving for laser eye surgery starting now.. i know it's a lot but in the end it will be totally worth it... however i have no experience whatsoever in this matter, but i don't want to rely on glasses/contacts for the rest of my life.. can anyone say around how much it would cost to put my vision to 20/20, and maybe recommend someone to do it? I live in the so. cal. area by the way, about 40 minutes from Redlands and an hour from Escondido.. Help would be much appreciated!! 10 points best answer!! Thanks

- If I were you, I wouldn't get that surgery. You don't know what it could to do your eyes in the future. I'd wait at least four years and see what the effects are on other people. My uncle was going to get that surgery and the guy who does it told him not to because they don't know what the long term effects are. Why not just keep wearing contacts? That's what I do. I have horrible vision and I'm only 14 :P But I definitely won't be getting that surgery. Just my opinion. But as the costs are concerned, my family member had to pay 2,000 to 2,500 for each eye. You may have seen an add for the LASIK as low as $299 per eye. Don't trust them. So yeah. And believe me, I've researched it thoroughly. Because I wanted that at one time too.
- Could be from 2000$ to 3000$ for each eye.
- I don't know how much it cost in Cali, but here in Philippines it cost me 60k Pesos equivalent to $1500 both eyes. Im 17 years old and I've had my surgery just last may. My vision before was 700-800 something now it's 20-25. The surgery was fine, but before it they checked my retina if I'm ready for the surgery. They said 21 years old is the right age but 17 is fine but surely it will increase again. It's almost 4 months now since my surgery and my eyesight is still good. The surgery takes 5-10 minutes per eye, don't worry it doesn't hurt, but it will irritate your eye after that. Healing process, they said it's 24 hours but for me it takes 2 hours to heal. They will give you free eye drops that you should take for a month, and they gave me also a CD- video of my surgery. Here's the site, but it's in Philippines http://www.eyecenter.com.ph/
