Dailies Contact Lenses

Can I use a dried up contact lens after putting it back in the contact lens solution?

I accidentally forgot to put contact lens solution in my lens case and the lens dried up. I found it after 9 hrs and put some contact lens into it. It regained its shape and visiblity is normal. Should I continue using it or get a new one?

  1. No, you could get an infection and it is probably ruined anyway. Just get a new one. No point taking chances with your eyes. Some eye infections are sight threatening, especially if left untreated. It would be so appreciated by those who answered your question if you picked a best answer. So many Yahoo Questioners don't which make me wonder if the answers are actually read.
  2. I would suggest getting it replaced immediately.
  3. i heard that's threatening to the health of your eye. i suggest you get new contact lenses- they may be expensive, but it is better than having a serious eye problem. also, could you please please answer my question? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlgU0i60uNbeGr4tQpzPDrPsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20101223053236AA4tOKo i would appreciate it very very much.
  4. Back when contacts were relatively expensive, we told people it was fine. Now that most people are wearing relatively cheap lenses, I usually encourage them to just replace them. In short, many people have worn lenses after they have dried up but if it is no big deal to replace it, that is what I would do.
