Health benefits of aspirin the same as other pain killers?
Daily aspirin combats arterial aging, heart attacks, strokes, and some cancers, including colon, rectal, bladder, esophageal, breast, and prostate. But do other pain killers such as paracetamol and ibuprofen do the same?
Public Comments
- Not necessarily. They may provide some of the same benefits however, aspirin acts as a blood thinner which accounts for some of its beneficial properties while other painkillers do not.
- Paracetamol is another name for Tylenol. Tylenol is a chemical that tricks the brain into thinking that there is no pain. Ibuprofen is also a blood thinner but the difference between that and aspirin is that aspirin acts right away where as Ibuprofen last up to eight hours. All these health benefits of aspirin do come with there own health risks such as stomach problems and Internal bleeding.
- No.
