What ur opinion on laser eye surgery?

I have bad eyes and both my parents said that when I'm old enough (18 yrs) I can get laser eye surgery to make my eyes better. Have you had any experience with the surgery? Is it a good idea? Are ere any possible side effects?

1. I just had lasik 2 weeks ago and couldn't be happier! I was a -7.00 and -7.50 prior to surgery and now I'm seeing 20/20! The overall experience was WAY better than I thought it would be! I was really anxious about it but it was really easy and quick! There are always risks involved with ANY surgery, but lasik has had so many advancements in the technology it is very safe. 2. Yes, the possible side effects is going blind. After all, they're burning holes through your eyes with lasers. That's why they make you sign a disclaimer which says if you go blind, you can't sue them. I say it's better to go through life with glasses than blind. It's just not worth the risk.
3. I had lasik eye surgery done 3 years ago and I love it. The best money I spent in my life. I was almost blind before and now I am better than 20/20. Side effects afterwards is its blurry for a couple of days but after that things become clearer. In 20 years after you done it I've been told by the doctor that done it that you might need reading classes but that's all. Do it... you won't be disappointed!
