Has anyone received a "Nigerian Scam" in their email lately?
I used to get about one or two per week but have only received one in the last six months or so. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I'm just curious to know if international anti-scam laws have been actually having an effect or if the scammers have just forgotten about me because I continually refuse to take their bait. I still get lots of other spam though I ignore it all and dump the Bulk Mail folder daily.

- not lately
- two last week ..now I am getting them from other countries as well I just Spam them
- I was getting one a week for about two months running during August and September. I don't take the bait either. It is such a well-known scam that sending these emails is just pathetically lame. Anybody who falls for this scam has got to have been hiding their head in the sand, but anybody who sends them is just pathetic....
- yeah none of late..i guess the crackdown which took place a month back had a good effect on shutting down the menace..
- Not lately, I think the scammers have moved on to the emails from "banks" where you need to log in to your web banking account to verify something....
- I get them everyday, sometimes 4 a day, and yes I do send them to my spam folder.
- I still get several of these a week. The come on has changed lately with a lot of scams professing their born again Christianity as the reason that they can be trusted. I guess they must think that by mentioning Jesus, they automatically become trustworthy to many.
- Yeah.. I get them about 3 or 4 a month. Just delete them.
- I get it everyday....ugh.........
- Got one last month. It went into my circular outgoing file wiyh all the other spam mail and useless crap. :0
- I really do not know the answer to your very interesting question. I used to get them almost daily, but the flow of spam has become so bad that I just do not open anything that I am not pretty sure is real communication from someone I want to receive messages from. So I don't know whether some of the 100-150 spams per day that I delete without opening are from people in Nigeria (or elsewhere) wanting to make me very rich or not. I just don't look at spam anymore. I get suckered into opening a couple a week, but the rest just get deleted without a second's consideration of what sort of spam they are. It's all garbage, and it all goes out ASAP.
