Real World MPG on a 91 Camaro RS 5.0 V8?

Im looking to buy a Camaro but im afraid I'll spend way too much on gas. I've been researching this for days and all I can come up with is 15 mpg estimated. But now I come across this 'Real World MPG' and finding out it may come out to even less. I plan on using it as a daily driver, but not if I end up using a half tank of gas to get to school and back. I do end up driving on the highway alot due to the fact that the community college is right off the high way and so is my job, but if anyone has a camaro or knows someone with one with the 5.0 V8 and knows about about this "real world mpg" i'd like some adive ASAP before someone else gets there hands on this car. I was even told that the government estimate mpg for vehicles its about 3-5 miles per gallon less, but I have no idea if thats true. And if it is, well with these prices now and days there no way I'd be able to pay for that. But I'd love to have this car. I mean who wouldn't???
