Possible Virus... help?
So, today my Norton AntiVirus has been blocking High Level attacks like crazy - every time a new page loads, as a matter of fact. When the events began early on, one of my browsers opened to a normal-looking website, but I quickly backed to the page I had been on. Norton has also replaced my homepage with a page that says an attack attempted to change my homepage, so it made it's own website my homepage. All the websites I've been on today (and recently) I've used on a daily basis for years - neopets, deviantart.com, gmail, facebook - or a long enough time to think I'd never have trouble. I've scanned my computer and found nothing, but the constant attacks have me worried -something has to be there.

- Yes -- Norton sucks and causes crashes. ZoneAlarm Pro with advanced component control verification with manual configuration. Spybot S&D AVG Free custom install without toolbar Firefox + NoScript + AdBlockPlus
- ok norton anti virus is the worst anti virus program out there i recommend you get avast. it is free and the best anti virus out there. download that from avast.com. download that and install that, then run it. have it do a through scan in all local drives. also make sure that your windows firewall is turned on. if avast catches nothing try scanning for malware and spyware. for that i recommend using "ad aware" or "spybot search and destroy". after all that is done i would recommend getting rid of norton but that is just me
- YOu've been highjacked in your browser. Um, if your using internet explorer try going to tools tab then internet options advanced tab, then hit reset and ok. it should turn of all pluggins. then close browser reboot computer and then try to see if this happens still. if it does then let us know.
- If you suspect or confirm that your computer is infected with a computer virus. Download a free antivirus program and scan your computer then you should be able to remove it. Check out http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-sAFtLsc8erIoh.ENhksr2KyG for more details.
