Can daily lenses be worn for more than a day?
I wear focus dailies(1 day use/ disposables). Can they be worn for more than a day? Eg- I wear them for a few hours then keep them overnight in solution and wear them the next morning. Technically i've worn them only 4-5 hours. Can they be worn while sleeping/taking a nap? What's the major difference between disposables and longer term lenses that makes disposables last less?

- Technically they can and if you clean them it shouldn't be a problem. Longer term lenses are in general thicker and less likely to break. It's not a good idea to sleep in your lenses (any kind) because your eyes will not be able to "breathe" i.e they won't get enough oxygen to stay healthy and having the contact sit on your eye makes for a breeding ground of bacteria. Also, when I used to sleep with my lenses in a lot, my prescription was always changing- my eyes kept getting worse and my doctor said that this was the reason. An occasional nap shouldn't be a problem, but 8 hours at night is a bad idea. Your best bet is to follow your eye doctors instructions. Your vision isn't worth messing with.
