Why is an eye correction (LASIK, PRK...) not popular in some countries (i.e. Japan)? Any safety reasons?

- I know they say it's safe, but really -- do you WANT someone shooting a weapon into your eye??
- Japan Health System is one of the most problematic for a developed country, in the midst of the complicity of the system (and health insurance), it is not until five years ago the quality of service improved because the government recognized the need for higher costs for some services (dental work, for example). While the quality of health service in Japan has improved in five years, the community confidence has not caught up with it. Have a search for "Japan Health System" if you're interested in reading in detail how their system works.
