Does wearing contacts effect your laser eye surgery?

when you wear contacts and you want to have surgery a laser surgery does it effect it can you even have the surgery if you wear contacts?

  1. You have laser surgery so you don't have to wear glasses or contacts anymore or as much. Your Doctor may have you wear glasses for a period of time before the surgery. I am confused by your question... Hope that was what you were looking for...
  2. you need to stop about 3 weeks before you get the surgery, or it could affect it. your doctor will tell you exactly what to do!
  3. Laser surgery is done in guidance of a eye surface map-this map changes by contact ens use-you should stop wearing them at least 4 weeks before your surgery appointment. Contact lens wearers are often developing a dry eye that gets worse after surgery-you will need more tear drops than others-that's all.
