Does anyone love it when they squirm?

A federal prosecutor has said I. Lewis Libby Jr., former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, is trying to sabotage the criminal case against him by insisting through his lawyers that he be given sensitive government documents for his defense. In a court filing on Thursday night, the prosecutor said requests by Mr. Libby's lawyers for documents, including the daily intelligence briefs given to the president for nearly a year, were "a transparent effort at 'graymail.' " The prosecutor, Patrick J. Fitzgerald, said the requests for a large amount of sensitive information beyond what they had been given was unjustified. Mr. Fitzgerald told the federal judge hearing the case that defendants like Mr. Libby had an incentive to derail their trials by asking for sensitive documents that the government might not want discussed openly. Graymail is the practice of discouraging a prosecution from proceeding by contending that a defendant may need to disclose classified or sensitive information as part of a full defense. Such an approach can force the government to choose between dropping the prosecution or allowing the information to be disclosed at a trial. anna1, the truth is that Libby will never go to prison. He will roll over on Cheney and Bu$h. None have been charged yet with Treason and none will be charged, treason is the crime that none of them will face. You hoped for the best for Clinton, right. The Neocans in Congress knew they did not have the votes in the Senate but went ahead anyway, they hope for the best for Clinton, right. mnib1, I do hope for the best for our country. I just don't see it in the White House or the Republican party. All I see is lies and corruption. That apply s to the Democrats as well. What I hope for is that Bu$h would resign, since Bu$h and Cheney are both failure's, that will not happen. That would be “the Best” for our country. Bu$h and Cheney are both Draft Dodgers and Both are convicted felons. I also see it as true Cheney was drunk when he shot the man he did not know that well. Why else would he refuse a alcohol level test for 12 hours? We will never know for sure if he was drunk or not.

1. No squirming. If its proved that he did something illegal then he should pay the price. Period. Why do I sense you WANT him to be found guility. Even when Clinton was accused of purgury and obstruction of justice, I always hoped, for the best of the nation, that he was not guility. I cant understand Americans that hope for the worst.
2. I have to agree with Anna. Why would you hope for corruption in either party? As a good american you would want what is best for this country. You would hope that there would be no curruption with Libby. I can sense the glee in your tone. How evil is that? And what happened with "innocent until proven guilty"???? Or does that not apply to the republican party??
