Is the way I eat going to flatten my stomach?

Not including my exercises This is my daily diet I have two bowls of cereal Special K one straight after the other and it really feels me up and makes me bloated and lasts me all day. But i heard that i could be making my stomach bigger eating such a large amount in one go? But thats all i eat all day until dinner

  1. Two bowls of Special K is not necessarily going to flatten your stomach. Nothing you eat will do that. If it fills you up, then that's a good thing. Your exercises are what is going to flatten your stomach, and you would want to make sure that cardiovascular exercise at least 3x a week is a part of that exercise regimen.
  2. well, you should only really have one bowl of cereal. if your stomachs bloated it will be from all the carbs from the cereal.
  3. You aren't eating enough, unless you are stuffing yourself at supper time. The best way to flatten your stomach is to have a well balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables, a comparable amount of grain products (NOT just Special K) with some protein and calcium sources topped off with exercise. That you are filling yourself up that badly is also not good--you should not feel bloated after a meal and it should not last all day. It's much more normal to eat small meals or meals with snacks during the day. You are messing up your metabolism.
  4. You really need to eat 5-6 small meals spaced throughout your day. This will allow your body to maintain your glucose levels and help you not to binge eat. Your metabolism can also slow down because your body might think that another meal might not come so thickly.
  5. Nope. It's going to make you gain weight. YOu aren't eating enough first of all. You are eating too much in one sitting and it is empty calories full of carbohydrates, second of all. The result-your metabolism is going to be super slow andyou will keep all the calories you do eat in your body and burn them off at the slowest pace possible. That dinner you eat, it just stays with you b/c your body is afraid of when the next meal will come. You are on starvation mode even though you aren't hungry. You want a flat stomach? each several meals a day, balanced with protein and carbs and 'good' fats. Eat your special k bowl...then a few hours later eat a yogurt or something small. Then lunch. then snack. then dinner. For a flatter tummy, stick to less carbs. Protein diets (still eat carbs but limit the intake to before 4 or 5) tend to make you have a toned body and flatter tummy. Eating good oils and fats helps promote belly busting of fat such as olive oils, almonds, peanut butter, and omega 3 found in fish. My advice, split your caloric intake to 400 cals per meal, 150 cals for 2 snacks, and then you'll get that flat belly.
