Dailies Contact Lenses

Contact lenses? Can we safely reuse those daily disposable contact lenses?

I wear contacts once or twice a week. I recently purchased a box of 1 day acuvue lenses. After wearing a pair for five hours, I take them off and, since they don't look cracked or torn I wonder why I can't just store them in a sterile solution and wear them again a couple of days later. What will happen if I do that?

1. That is no problem to do with the acuvue daily lenses. It is exactly the same lens as their 2 week lens. Different packaging...same lens. They are packaged as one day also just for the convenience, but if you store them in multi purpose solution, they are good for 2 weeks.
2. To be safe, I would consider the 1 day disposibles to be worn for 8-10 hours. So if you only wore them for five hours that day, go ahead and store them and wear them another day for another 5 hours. After that, I would throw them away.
3. No, never re-use the lenses. It is meant for one time use thats y it is called dailies lenses
