Dailies Contact Lenses

Right now I have glasses and want to get contacts, I really need the daily disposable ones.?

But I know in the beginning, it would be really hard to get usted to and every day I bearly make it to school on time. Does anyone think that I should get them this summer and start practicing, so I'll get better in time for next year or not do it and keep getting new precriptions for my glasses? P.S. Can anyone reccommend me a good brand that offers daily disposables, if they think that concacts would be ok? Thank you, very much everyone!

  1. Go and get fit for contacts. There are a few different brands that offer Daily disposables. They really are better for your eyes too b/c you don't have to worry about protein build up and you get a fresh lens everyday. And don't be nervous about how long it will take you to get used to them after about a week the average person can get them in and out in about 5-10 minutes.
  2. You need to really discuss this further with your optometrist. In fact you may want to go with a 2 week or 1 month disposable lens. There are many brands and options on the market now. Depending on your eyes and what you need will determine the contact type and brand you need. And even if you get contacts, you should always have a backup pair of glasses. Think of it this way: you get an eye infection and you can't wear contacts for a week. glasses would come in handy in this situation. Also, if you're looking from an economical stand point; the one days will be much more expensive than a 2 week or monthly lens.
  3. Contacts are really useful. After about 5 minutes you can't feel them. I just started waring contacts on thursday and i already can get them in first go!! They take a little getting used to but they are really good. I reccomend the monthly disposables though. The best thing that you can do though is to talk to your optometrist.
  4. Talk to your eye Dr .They have air permeable lenses. That means air flows through them and though they can be worn for up to a month. 2 weeks is better. You will never know they are there except you can see.And don't forget those reading glasses.I buy them at the pharmacy. They are from$5.00 to $20.00 at the pharmacy and they will cost you hundreds at the eye Dr.
  5. I would recommend Ciba Dailies for contacts that you wear for one day, than throw away. Or Ciba Focus Night & Day contacts might work for you, too. The Night & Day contacts can be worn continuously for 30 Days and nights, so you don't have to worry about taking them in and out frequently. Check with your Eye Doctor to see what's best for you.
