What percent of your daily protein should come from protein shakes?
If you weight 160 pounds, would it be okay to get 108 grams of the 160 grams that you intake daily from protein shake? I heard that you shouldn't get more than 50% of your daily protein from shakes; is this true--why?

- My concern with getting more than 108g out of your 160g of protein is that you may not be getting a well balanced amount of other nutrients. For example, when you eat steak, you would also be getting a good bit of iron from it as well. Look at what your shake contains, and then figure out what other nutrients that your shakes don't contain and try to eat foods that will provide you with what your shake doesn't. A good example is your shakes probably don't contain fiber. If you would start getting 75% of your protein or daily intake of nutrients from shakes, you might start missing out on some other things that your body needs that aren't provided in the shakes.
