What are the focus ,goals,daily hardships, And dreams of a woman in a religious order the middle age?

1. I suspect that a woman of the middle-ages didn't have any real goals. Her only alternative was to marry someone with money and property so she and her future children could be well taken care of. Her focus, goals, and hardships from then on was to raise healthy children whose goals and aspirations had to have been as similar as her's. Back then, they saw the world as simply black and white, right and wrong... They did what they were told, what they were told was the right way, so no one stepped out of line, nor spoke back when spoken to, or they were burned at the stakes as witches. :o
2. The focus and goals of a middle ages religious order are to be pious and to understand the teachings of god. The hardships she would endure is the toils of most peoples existence. Preparation of meals, keeping things clean, and study. Her dreams would likely be of the greater glory of God.
