- My husband had it done about 5 years ago and has never regretted it. I think at that time it was around 600/eye, but i could be wrong. we dont have optical ins. so i dont know if they would cover it or not. he didnt have any pain afterwards, just had to wear sunglasses for the first day and use some eye drops. the only pain i remember was when our then 2 year old accidently socked him. he said he was awake during the operation, but never talked about any pain during. hope this helps some.
- risk it if you like, but here more info http://www.lasikdisaster.com/ http://www.myopia.org/ http://www.eyecollege.com/ http://www.central-fixation.com/ http://www.preventmyopia.org/ http://www.cleareyesight.info/ http://web.singnet.com.sg/~hanwen/nvifaq.htm we don't Truly know the real complication in the later life because Laser Eye Surgery is only 15 years old, but i can tell there is complication i 100% assure you
- My eyes were terrible before I had Lasik done. I couldn't walk across the street to save my own life. And I'm not joking. I was seeing maybe 20/400 without glasses or contact lenses and now 8 years post Lasik, I have 20/20 in the right eye and 20/25 in the left. There was no pain at all and it took all of 20 minutes. The cost at that time was $4500 CND for both eyes which included my post op follow up appointments. Some patients will feel dryness after the surgery, but that is only temporary.
- My husband and I both had it done. Mine was more expensive because I had Astigmatism. He was just nearsighted. He went to Canada for his because he claims it was cheaper but two nights at a hotel and food and gas I'm not sure. For me I stayed local and it cost almost $4000.00 dollars. Depending on your eyesight and location you live in it could be cheaper. It didn't hurt, the eye holder or the plastic eye opener thing was uncomfortable in one eye but I swear it took like five minutes. It was fast. My eyes were very sensitive to the light and it felt like a very dirty contact lens was in my eyes. They give you sunglasses, that are ugly, but in the beginning you have no choice you have to wear them and your eyes dry out very quickly so the re-wetting drops are important you have to keep your eyes moist. Don't rub them. I didn't touch them at all. Then in a few weeks you won't need the drops and your good to go. I had to wear the sun glasses to even watch tv the first few days my eyes were so sensitive to light. but as soon as they do the laser you can see. it's amazing. one minute your blind as a bat without your glasses and five ten minutes later twenty twenty actually 20/15 in one and 20/20 in the other. Bionic eye balls. It's a piece a cake. Worth every penny. When they do it you don't feel pain you feel pressure but it is quick. They numb your eyes first. I never felt pain. Even afterward just light sensitivity, dirt feeling in my eyes and dryness.
